  • Define and execute a long-term strategy to expand engineering capabilities, including adoption of advanced tools, modeling, simulation, and digital engineering methods to accelerate development and improve quality.
  • Ensure effective deployment of engineering services across new product development, sustaining engineering, and remediation programs, aligning resources with portfolio priorities.
  • Establish governance, intake, and prioritization processes to optimize utilization of specialized engineering capabilities across a global matrix organization (North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific).
  • Drive operational excellence by standardizing engineering processes, test methods, packaging development, and technical documentation in compliance with FDA design controls, ISO 13485, and global regulatory requirements.
  • Implement performance metrics and dashboards to monitor capacity, service delivery effectiveness, and technical outcomes, enabling data-driven decision making.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering services across the full product lifecycle.
  • Support and influence complex development programs, OEM partnerships, and external collaborations requiring specialized technical expertise.
  • Serve as a key member of the R&D leadership team, contributing to engineering strategy, portfolio planning, and executive decision-making.
  • Manage the Engineering Solutions budget, including personnel, laboratory infrastructure, external services, and capital investments, ensuring efficient resource allocation aligned with strategic priorities.
