Job Description

Reporting to Tax Director, the tax accountant will work with other team members to ensure accurate and timely filing of all sales and use tax returns, personal property tax returns, appropriated annual reports, and business license and registrations. Focusing on MBC operation, the tax accountant will provide guidance to business on taxability of transactions and provide supporting documentations such as sales exemption certificates. The tax accountant will reconcile GL tax accounts monthly, maintain payment schedules and tax calendar, and assist with tax audits. The tax accountant also responsible for maintenance of inter-company transfer pricelists with all SBCs in Oracle. The tax accountant will be an integral part of the tax team to ensure that the company meets all tax compliance.

Job Duties

* Prepare and file appropriate sales and use tax returns timely, maintain documentation in an organized, systematic manner that is readily auditable.


* Be primarily responsible for responding to auditor queries for sales & use tax audits.


* Prepare and file all necessary personal property returns.


* Prepare and file all necessary business licenses and annual reports.


* Responsible for maintenance of inter-company transfer pricelists with affiliates.


* Provide guidance to business partners on sales & use tax related inquires.


* Respond to notices received from various tax jurisdictions.


* Prepare monthly and quarterly G/L reconciliation of tax accounts.


* Maintain tax calendar and payment schedule.


* Responsible for the company’s Form 1042 filing that associated with Inter-company transactions.


* Other special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements


* Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred, or equivalent work experience.


* Minimum of 3 years experience in tax administration and compliance.



* Essential knowledge skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word.


* Detail oriented individual with excellent organizational skills.


* Strong data entry skills and the ability to multitask while meeting deadlines.


* Strong work ethic positive attitude and a team player.


* Effective communication skills.
