Job Description

The Strategy Manager – ESE Operational Solutions will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and growth initiatives within the newly established Endoscopic Solutions Ecosystem (ESE) unit. This role will focus on leveraging digital solutions in the clinical context, particularly within the field of gastroenterology. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive the growth of our Intelligent Endoscopic Ecosystem, making people's lives healthier, safer and more fulfilling. 

Job Duties

  • Strategy development: Collaborate closely with the ESE Strategy Lead and the ESE Operational Solutions Leads to develop and refine strategic plans for our operational solutions teams (e.g., Workflow Management, Asset Management, IT Connectivity), aligning with our overall corporate and ecosystem strategy.
  • Strategic initiatives: Take ownership in executing strategic initiatives, managing cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful execution and delivery of objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the ESE Operational Solutions leads to identify opportunities, define priorities, and execute strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and clinical outcomes.
  • Planning: Facilitate the annual strategic planning process by providing insights, analysis, and recommendations, as well as supporting objective setting and budget allocation.
  • Communication: Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership based on analysis and insights. Develop compelling communication material, including presentations and reports, to effectively convey strategic recommendations and progress updates to senior management.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of the digital health technology landscape, competitor offerings, and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including executives, customers, and external partners, to gather insights, gain buy-in, and drive alignment on strategic initiatives.
  • Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on industry trends, regulatory landscape, and technological advancements within the field of gastroenterology and digital healthcare solutions.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy development, business consulting, or corporate development roles within the healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of success in driving strategic initiatives and achieving business objectives.
  • Experience working in or with MedTec companies, preferably within the field of digital healthcare solutions and/or gastroenterology.
  • Strong understanding of digital solutions and technologies (IoT, SaaS etc.) and their application in healthcare settings.
  • Experience in developing convincing storylines and presentations to effectively communicate strategic initiatives and recommendations to senior management.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (domestic and international).

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $103,779.00 - $145,290.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
