Job Description
The Strategy Associate position is an integral part of the North America Medical Systems Group (MSG), based in Westborough, MA. The Strategy Associate will report into the Director of Strategic Projects and will work closely with the MSG President and Sales & Marketing leadership teams across the Endoscopy and Surgical business units. The Strategy Associate will help drive annual strategic planning and provide ongoing support for business units to develop, implement, and successfully manage their business strategies while producing a standardized framework to increase consistency and cross-business collaboration. A key function of this role is to create and present quality deliverables that support strategic initiatives across MSG.
Job Duties
* Manage and the annual strategic planning process for MSG business units within Endoscopy and Surgical (including Gastroenterology, Respiratory, EndoTherpay, Urology, Gynecology, Surgical Endoscopy, Systems Integration, Energy, and Ear, Nose & Throat).
* Continuously evaluate, enhance, and train on the strategic planning process / framework and strategy playbook with industry-leading tools and methodologies to the Sales & Marketing leadership teams.
* Collaborate across business units to gather and leverage best practices and lessons learned to continue improving overall MSG strategy.
* Support the quarterly strategy review meetings, including preparation, facilitation, and reporting.
* Operationalize the strategic planning playbook and provide ongoing project management support for the development, implementation, and management of business unit strategies.
* Gather and analyze data, identify gaps and trends, and make recommendations related to baseline performance as well as established best practices and benchmarks.
* Support key initiatives that help shape the future of Olympus and fulfil Our Purpose of “making people’s lives healthier, safer, and more fulling”.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical related field is required; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with competing priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing and evolving work environment.
* Ability to produce quality work products in a timely manner while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years work experience is preferred; prior experience in Sales, MedTech, and Strategy / Management Consulting is a plus.
* Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to persuasively deliver presentations to all levels of the organization.
* Creative problem solving ability and a collaborative, consultative mindset.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
