The Solution Architect is a global role responsible to lead and coordinate Olympus’ Digital Unit (DU) product and service teams’ architecture.  Facilitate cross team communication and understanding of shared interfaces and cross-team impacts on design and development modifications. This is a critical role in support of the DU strategic vision.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the DU architecture modelling processes and tools; Train others to effectively use architecture models, processes, and tools.
  • Collaborate with the DU product and solution teams and coordinate the architectural documentation.
  • Facilitate the communication of changes and implications across the product and solution technical teams.
  • Facilitate the identification and resolution of architectural gaps and conflicts.
  • Understand solution architectures across multiple subject areas and technologies.  Ability to consider alternative architectures and the trade-offs in cost, performance, and scalability. 
  • Support projects or change initiatives through the preparation of technical plans and application of design principles and standards.
  • Understand the development, implementation and management of organization-wide processes and procedures, tools and techniques for risk management. Considers organization-wide risk and mitigation activities. Provide insights on risk management at organizational and business level.
  • See future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • BS/BA degree, ideally in computer science, engineering, or comparable background.
  • Minimum of 9 years work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Solutions architect
  • Minimum of 9 years’ experience software engineering 
  • Experience with system architectures for large scale, complex digital solutions
  • Experience with C4 modeling 
  • Experience with modeling tools (IcePanel C4 modeling software is desirable)
  • Experience with operating in an Agile and DevOps environment
  • Experience with cloud systems and technologies (MS Azure preferred) 
  • ET time zone work hours with ability to work with global teams (Europe, AP). Opportunities for travel, but not a requirement.
  • Experience facilitating technical resources

  • Experience in healthcare industry is highly desirable

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $131,345.00 - $183,883.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
