Job Description

The Senior Training Specialist – GPMO role is responsible for providing systems administration and end user support for all the business process training initiatives within the Therapeutics Solution Division (TSD) and the Endoscopic Solutions Division (ESD). This will be done through various Learning Management Systems (LMS) and any other training system managed within the regions. In addition, this role will provide overall administration of the Brooklyn Park Training + Innovation Center. This position will ensure that the training materials, training events and logistics are handled in a professional, timely, cost-effective and compliant manner.

Job Duties

* Provides administrative and end user support for all the business process training within the medical business divisions.


* Collaborates with manager and global stakeholders to develop training profiles and manage training assignments.


* Collaborates with manager and global stakeholders on the development of training materials to support the GPMO business processes. This includes delivering basic training materials as needed.


* Collaborates with regional Learning Technologies teams to assign and monitor training courses administered via the learning management system (LMS).


* Requests and reviews LMS reports on an ad-hoc basis to analyze data, monthly to identify overdue training assignments.


* Assists Global Medical Project Management Office (GPMO) with driving compliance for training initiatives for medical divisions.


* Ensures Medical Division new hires and re-hires have a training plan as required for their role.


* Maintains / creates training documentation such as, quick reference guides, templates, and reference materials as needed.


* Researches and collaborates with the Learning Technologies teams to resolve LMS functionality and performance issues.


* Responsible for day-to-day management and administration of the Training + Innovation Center located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.


* Supports guests, visitors and internal employees with event scheduling, meeting logistics and on-site and virtual support of events.


* Performs all other special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements



Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education or related field (e.g. adult education, instructional design, etc.). Equivalent job-related experience and knowledge will be considered.


* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a training function and/or customer service focused role.


* Minimum domestic travel is expected for this position. Some work may be outside of normal business hours when supporting training events.




Medical device and/or learning management systems experience is preferred.


* Strong team player.


* Excellent verbal/written communication skills.


* Detail oriented and able to prioritize.


* Flexible, creative, and results oriented.


* Comfortable with data management/data manipulation.


* Proficiency in eLearning development tools such as Articulate Storyline is preferred.


* Ability to work well with all levels within the organization.


* Strong commitment for compliance.


* Ability to maintain confidentiality.


* Collaborates effectively, but also able to work well independently with minimal supervision.
