Job Description

The Senior Infrastructure Project Manager, Standards & Governance is responsible for the successful delivery of infrastructure projects, managing and coordinating the full project lifecycle from initial analysis and requirement capture to deployment. The role will work closely with IT and business stakeholders as a key player for building, maintaining, and tracking cross-functional dependencies and for achieving overall alignment on requirements, timelines, and budgets. The Senior Infrastructure Project Manager, Standards & Governance also utilizes best practice frameworks and methodologies to manage and mitigate risks and contribute to the updating of these frameworks. This involves liaising with senior stakeholders to initiate a project before managing the day-to-day execution activities.

Job Duties

* Infrastructure Project Governance

 

  • Establish standards for infrastructure project delivery, controls and policies at Olympus, based on industry standards and best practices.
  • Ensure that all initiatives are delivered consistently and fully comply with the Olympus governance, frameworks and policies.
  • Support project delivery teams through escalation, decision making and prioritization to resolve conflicts and ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Assure the quality of programs/projects delivered.

 

* Infrastructure Project Management

 

  • Create timelines for infrastructure projects and map the interdependencies between IT programs.
  • Manage the delivery of projects, as well as oversee the program of work across the team.
  • Ensure projects are managed to budget, resource & time and demonstration of issue & risk management against the programs.
  • Ensure tracking of progress against plan, providing guidance on analysis, recovery and prevention of any deviations; provide reporting to relevant stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Develop, implement, and manage organization-wide processes and procedures, tools and techniques for risk management.
  • Govern program-wide risk and take the necessary steps to mitigate and remedy issues.

 

* Infrastructure Project Coordination

 

  • Support team members shape program/project scopes and timescales that are manageable and realistic to ensure programs/projects are completed on time/budget.
  • Plan, coordinate and resolve resource constraints of delivery resources for infrastructure projects, in line with strategic priorities.

 

* People Management

 

  • Lead, motivate, develop, and appraise team members so that their individual and collective performance is of the required standard and meets the current and future needs of the business.

 

* Other responsibilities / duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Business or related field (or equivalent and related experience).

 

* Minimum 5 years' working experience managing IT projects throughout their lifecycle.

 

* In-depth knowledge of IT projects financials and the ability to create, interpret and communicate IT related KPIs to senior stakeholders.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Proven track record of delivering agile projects involving sprint planning and RAID management.

 

* The ability to develop staff, providing training and learning and opportunities.

 

* Creating an environment that enables others to perform at their best.

 

* Demonstrable problem solving skills.

 

* Organizational skills
