Job Description

The Senior Human Resources Specialist provides general HR support to Global HR Business Partners based in the US including employee data management, performance and talent management, compensation planning, employee engagement, employee and organizational matters, HR systems, policies, and processes. In addition, this role provides guidance and support to managers and employees on HR processes, policies, and programs. This role is a developmental role to grow into an HR Business Partner.

Job Duties

  • Provide data analytics and reporting for HRBP team and in support of the business.
  • Expert and power user in HR information systems. 
  • Responsible for maintaining the HRIS with appropriate data in the execution of organization and employee changes. 
  • Provide support to managers in the areas of performance management, talent management, corrective actions, talent acquisition, and answering general HR-related questions. 
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations and company policies. 
  • Support and lead special projects and initiatives, as assigned. 
  • Assist in the preparation for annual talent reviews with managers and HRBPs. 
  • Facilitate the job evaluation process with managers and Compensation. 
  • Provide compensation analytics for promotions, transfers, and new hires. 
  • Prepare HR related agreements and job offers. 
  • Conduct exit interviews for offboarding employees. 
  • Answer employee and manager questions and escalate concerns, as appropriate. 
  • Support internal investigations on workplace situations in conjunction with assigned HRBP and Legal.
  • Support Leave Administration process, as needed.

Job Qualification

Required:

 

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience is required.
  • A degree in an HR related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years HR experience required including experience in at least two (2) of the following disciplines:
    • HR data reporting and processing, employee relations, benefits administration, leave administration,
    • HR policy interpretation, talent acquisition, training facilitation, and/or payroll administration. 
  • Strong proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, intermediate to advanced Excel skills, HRIS skills and MS Teams.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels on the organization.
  • Must be able to manipulate large amounts of data, formulate data into easy-to-read formats and be comfortable telling a story and provide insights with that data.
  • Must have demonstrated innovative thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills while at the same time always be open to fulfilling organizational transactional and administrative duties.

Preferred:

  • Experience working within a matrixed global organizational structure with multiple locations/regions/countries.
  • Experience working in life sciences, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and/or biotechnology organizations.
