Job Description

The Senior HR Professional BD will work in conjunction with the Global HR BD Leader for assigned BD deals and advise the HR team on all related matters from due diligence through integration with a focus on Comp & Ben. This role will help functional teams develop and execute BD deal strategies on a global scale while helping the BD Total Rewards function build programs and processes from the ground up. Will also assist in overall HR BD project management.

Job Duties

* Serves as advisor and point person on all HR-related matters for assigned BD deal activity from pre-close due diligence through post-close integration with a focus on Comp & Ben.

* Oversees mapping and levelling of acquired company roles to Olympus’ existing gradings, including job evaluation, assessing cost impact of integrating compensation, benefits, and stock programs, and educating key stakeholders on key findings and recommendations.

* Liaises with Comp & Ben Partner teams globally to ensure compensation & benefits programs and tools support current and future BD needs.

* Support change readiness efforts of HR COEs (e.g., Comp & Ben, Recruiting) and business leaders affected by integration of acquired company (e.g., leading employee-facing compensation & benefits information sessions).

* Creates training materials to support HR integration and educate regarding future-state total rewards after integration. Supports alignment efforts between acquired company’s rewards programs vs. Olympus-internal policies and offerings, including regulatory and compliance matters (example: FLSA status changes).

* Independently handles complex compensation questions and deliver solutions in ambiguous, unique circumstances. Serve as subject matter expert and trusted partner to Compensation and Benefits Partners, Recruiters, HR Business Partners, Line Managers, Business Leaders, and BD.

* Supports, and works in conjunction with, the Global HR Function Window person during DD and integration on a variety of initiatives and project management.

* Stays abreast of industry trends to inform and influence HR decisions and support HR BD team’s ability to grow and scale.

* Updates and evolves HR BD playbook, tracking best practices and lessons learned with a mindset of continuous improvement.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor’s degree in HR or related discipline; Master’s preferred.

* Minimum of 7 years of broad HR functional experience.

* Minimum of 2 years of HR BD work, including minimum of 3 full HR integrations.

* Up to 20% travel; includes potentially domestic and international travel.

* May involve irregular working hours (such as early mornings, late evenings, and/or periodic long working hours) to accommodate global time zones and project timelines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

* Ability to influence, problem solve, and successfully collaborate and communicate with clients on various levels.

* Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, and relationship building skills.

* Experience working in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, high-tech industry, fast growth environment, or consulting firm preferred.

* Compensation and/or active health and welfare plan program design and project management experience preferred.

* Global HR knowledge and familiarity with local labor and compensation legal requirements preferred.

* Passion for building and continuously improving cross-functional programs and processes.
