Job Description

Olympus is moving to Westborough, MA! Our brand new Westborough campus is scheduled for completion on March 15, 2021 and will house roles that were formerly based out of our Southborough, MA and Littleton, MA locations. This position serves a key role within all of Olympus manufacturing businesses in the North America by providing strategic analytical support to management across the organization.  This individual will be required to collaborate with cross functional teams to help implement long term strategic plans, devise financial modelling, as well as serve a key member of M&A analysis.  

Job Duties

* Consolidation of various management reporting to drive decision making within leadership.
 

* Partner with managers by providing analysis tools that will allow functional areas to evaluate and choose between strategic and tactical options, define measurements of success and the related target key performance metrics (KPIs). Provide reporting and analysis of results against KPIs at a consolidated OCA level.
 

* Support the development of business plans for new products and operations programs and support the development of strategic plans for either new or existing departments, business units, etc.

 

* Assess the current market, calculate ROI, and identify any existing strengths that can be leveraged or weaknesses that need to be overcome.
 

* Provide analytical and modeling solutions to design and implement analytics and reporting solutions to meet both short term and long term needs of key stakeholders.

 

* Produce ad-hoc analysis to measure impact of various levers that might impact profitably.. 
 

* Identify variances to Corporate Strategic Plans and support management in implementing mitigation plans and identifying new product opportunities to grow business. 
 

*  Support strategic business planning process, working closely with Marketing, Business Intelligence, Sales Business Centers and cross-functional team on 
 

* Develop summary communication materials for executive level and board presentations, as requested.
 

* Proactively identify & communicate risks & opportunities in all financial measurements.
 

*  Provide ad hoc analytical support as needed. 
 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics required. 

 

* MBA or CFA a plus.

 

* Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting & analysis.

 

* Ease with manipulating and interpreting data from multiple sources. Individual must have expert excel skills (experience with the following software products or their equivalents required: Oracle, Hyperion, Smartview).

* Attention to detail is critical as decisions are often being made off of our work and proposals.

 

* Must have demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills including the ability to identify problems and develop and execute new solutions to obtain results.

 

* Skilled and highly motivated person, who can research, compile, analyze, report and present findings in a clear and concise way.

 

* Manage numerous assignments, identify priorities and exercise good judgment.

 

* Thrive in a fast-moving, often stressful environment and maintain an easy going manner and sense of humor, even as you undertake your responsibilities with a sense of urgency.

 

* Strong oral and written communication skills required.

 

* Team player, highly motivated, committed and dedicated.

 

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills; can effectively work with people across multiple levels of the organization and is comfortable working cross functionally.
