Job Description
This role is a strategic and operational leader responsible for developing and executing long range and midterm planning strategies that enable reliable, efficient, and cost optimized supply chain performance. This role oversees planning for both internal and external U.S. manufacturing sites that supply customers globally, ensuring inventory is delivered in full compliance with all country specific regulatory requirements.
This leader directs supply planning, capacity planning, material planning to ensure operational alignment, forecast accuracy, and full readiness across the global supply chain. The Senior Director is also accountable to develop and lead a robust SMR process for their supply region within the Global IBP processes.
The Senior Director partners closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, Commercial, and Logistics teams to drive end-to-end synchronization, enhance supply reliability, and support overall business growth.
Job Duties
Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Lead the development of the global master planning strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives, operational capabilities, and financial plans.
- Own and continuously improve the SMR as a key step within the IBP process, driving cross functional alignment on forecast, supply, and capacity decisions.
- Provide visionary leadership to planning teams, fostering a culture of accountability, performance excellence, and data driven decision-making.
Supply & Capacity Planning
- Direct supply and capacity planning to optimize production schedules, inventory levels, and resource utilization.
- Identify risks and opportunities within the demand/supply network and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure proactive scenario planning to support rapid responses to market changes, constraints, or disruptions.
Operational Excellence
- Lead the standardization of global planning processes, systems, and KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced analytics.
- Champion the adoption of planning technologies (APS systems, forecasting tools, analytics dashboards).
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Manufacturing and Procurement to ensure capacity, materials, and resources support operational plans.
- Collaborate with Commercial teams to support product launches, lifecycle planning, and promotional activities.
- Align with Finance to support budgeting, financial projections, and inventory optimization.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline. Relevant Master’s degree (MBA, MS Supply Chain, or similar) an advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in Supply Chain, ideally within medical devices, life sciences, or technology, operating in FDA‑regulated environments and supporting compliant, resilient, and scalable global operations.
- Proven experience in strategy, corporate planning, or top tier management consulting, with a demonstrated ability to translate strategic insight into actionable business outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership of large, complex, cross functional programs and initiatives, driving alignment, accountability, and execution across multiple functions and geographies.
- Demonstrated executive leadership and influence, including the ability to convene, align, and advise senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups through facilitation, consultation, and strategic partnership.
- Deep expertise in leading transformational change, successfully guiding organizations through complex change initiatives, driving adoption, and embedding sustainable performance improvements.
- Deep expertise in SAP ERP, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), advanced supply chain management platforms, and enterprise data ecosystems, with the ability to leverage integrated systems and high-quality data to enable end-to-end visibility, FDA compliance, audit readiness, and data driven executive decision-making.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position is $162,565.00 - $243,847.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). This pay range represents the National Average of the range, and may vary depending on the location of the individual.
