Job Description
The Executive Director, Planning, plays a key role in strategic and operating process to ensure supply excellence by planning and ensuring the delivery of products produced in the internal and external US facilities tocustomers globally while ensuring that inventory delivered is compliant with local regulation in countries supplied. The Executive Director will also have responsibility for the entire Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, Materials Planning and Inventory Optimization management function for all of OCA business units/products (Finish Good sales, Manufacturing and Repair). The Executive Director is responsible for setting thedirection for operational improvements in the areas of planning, inventory (DOH) performance, delivery performance in order to eff ectively meet customer demand and compliant product to customers globally.
Job Duties
- Leads the development and implementation of Supply Chain strategic initiatives to improve supply chain capability to support strategic plans for all Business Units.
- Develops, implements and monitors eff ectiveness of systems and procedures to ensure compliance to regulatory agency rules and regulations globally pertaining to inventory supplied.
- Lead the development and implementation of policies, systems and processes to optimize inventory level that supports customer needs while keeping cost at lowest possible level.
- Anticipates and drive resolution on the highest-level strategic supply issues that could impact supply products to customers.
- Responsible for building and retaining a diverse, highly qualified staff and for providing career coaching, growth and personal development for employees.
- Supervises subordinate managers in fulfilling their responsibilities.
- Lead team in developing demand plan with marketing and finance and effective materials planning, production,and inventory processes with sourcing, production management and distribution to ensure that product is shipped accurately and timely.
- Develop and execute the strategic material plan for Manufacturing facilities to ensure materials volumes pricing and availability are just in time to maintain continuous production.
- Work with Operations and Engineering to proactively forecast future demand and ensure changes are effectively made to meet the demand.
- Develop and implement enhanced MRP/ERP analytics.
- Works closely with IT and corporate supply chain management in the selection and implementation of solutions.
- Identify and drive continuous improvements with Planning and Inventory Optimization functions.
- Work with various cross functional team to identify supply chain risks and develop solutions.
- Work with site manufacturing and quality teams to identify root cause of recurrent problems and manage resolution with internal teams and suppliers.
- Proactively manage product Inventory optimization and obsolescence.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree business or Supply Chain or related discipline or demonstrated equivalent.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management and Planning with a minimum of 10 years’experience managing teams. Experience in medical device business would be advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills with a deep understanding of Microsoft Offi ce applications.
- Strong problem solving and issue resolution skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Adept at working independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work within a matrix organization.
- Travel 20% of time including international

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $162,565.00 - $243,847.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
