Job Description

The Senior Director, Global HR Business Partner,  CSO partners directly with the Global Chief Strategy Officer to provide strategic guidance, consultation, and support to meet business needs. As a key member of the Human Resources and CSO leadership teams, this role provides global HR expertise, strategic guidance, and hands-on support across talent management, talent strategy, succession planning, and organizational design and development. 

In addition, this role serves as the lead HR business partner for the Olympus Global Target Operating Model (GTOM) initiative. This enterprise program is empowered to work across businesses, functions, and regions to define target operating models that effectively and sustainably enable delivery of the Company’s Corporate Strategy, under the leadership of Global Strategy Execution and Transformation. The work requires assessing organizational design—both within individual areas and end-to-end across the enterprise—as well as skills and capabilities, business processes, and governance. The role partners closely with regional and global HR teams to deliver CSO talent and people strategy objectives.

Job Duties

  • Design and implement HR strategies in collaboration with CSO senior leadership to address business priorities and talent/people objectives. Build strong relationships with senior leaders across functions and regions to understand key strategies, initiatives, and goals.
  • Partner with CSO leadership to develop and deliver innovative HR solutions for the global CSO organization, while collaborating effectively with other global HR business partners.
  • Interface and collaborate with global and regional HR teams to execute CSO talent and people strategies and initiatives.
  • Organizational Design: Lead global organizational design efforts on behalf of CSO, in partnership with HRBPs, across functional, divisional, and regional organizations.
  • Change Management: Lead communication and change management planning for operating model changes in collaboration with key stakeholders to drive adoption and minimize disruption.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership and peers to drive consistent HR policies and practices across the enterprise while representing CSO needs and strategy.
  • Manage the overall CSO HR budget and closely monitor costs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience across regional and global environments as a strategic HRBP, including 5+ years of people leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of global regulatory trends.
  • Demonstrated strategic HR thinking with the ability to develop practical, creative solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop effective communication and change management plans.
  • Strategic agility and strong business acumen.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with senior leaders, C-Suite level executives and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and coaching at all organizational levels.
  • Resilience and flexibility to work effectively across time zones and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to consider end-to-end impacts of proposed solutions.
  • Ability to engage employees at all levels and handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to respond to challenging situations and individuals in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • This is a global role and will require regular participation in early morning and/or late evening meetings in accordance with our global working guidelines. Travel by air is expected approximately 10–15%.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position is $162,565.00 - $243,847.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). This pay range represents the National Average of the range, and may vary depending on the location of the individual. 

 

Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position, including level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
