Job Description
Product Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day activities to support a range of surgical imaging products and accessories to be used across minimally invasive laparoscopic and open surgeries. The product manager will help shape strategy for the category as well as drive new product launches.
Job Duties
- Monitoring sales trends and updating forecasts as necessary to meet demand.
- Monitoring of market trends including competition procedural market growth reimbursement and emerging technologies.
- Supporting product launch studies and clinical validation activities.
- Creating marketing collateral and tools to support the selling process .
- Field work with sales, sales management, and clinical teams.
- Creating and implementing the tactics that support the marketing strategies to include pricing, positioning programs and promotions that are in line with the strategic business plan.
- Developing relationships with MD product champions and key opinion leaders who will influence broader market acceptance.
- Maintaining your expertise as the product specialist by attending procedures, courses, tradeshows, and staying abreast of industry changes and advancements.
- Creating training presentations tools and conducting training for sales at training sessions, national sales meeting, tradeshows, accounts etc.
- Assist with creation, execution, and support of Surgeon Education programs.
- Facilitate the design and implementation of clinical studies and white papers that supports the overall imaging initiatives.
- Collaborate with upstream marketing teams in preparation of next-gen product launches. All other essential duties as directed.
Job Requirements
Required:
- BA or BS in Marketing or related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience providing overall leadership in the market as well as evaluating a given market and assessing strengths weaknesses opportunities and threats and developing and implementing strategies.
- Experience in successfully launching new products and full product life cycle
- Minimum of 5 years in a product management sales or project management role
- External Experience: BA BS in Marketing or related field: Masters/MBA: 3 to 6 years.
- Internal Experience: BA BS in Marketing or related field: 3 years Olympus experience combined sales, marketing, operations sales support, upstream. Masters/MBA: 2 years Olympus combined experience as above.
- Ability to travel 30 to 40%, including international.
