Job Description

The Director will be responsible for providing business partnership to Global TSD Division Business leadership members for a ~$2.5B/annual revenue-generating global division. The incumbent will possess the ability to 1) coordinate and guide processes that manage full P&Ls at the global basis including of actuals monitoring and short/long-term forecasting, 2) provide the business partnership to senior business leaders to drive sustainable and profitable growth, 3) drive financial integration and achievement financial targets for complex acquisitions at the global level, 4) support key initiatives to increase transparency across P&L especially in Cost of Sales for TSD Division equating to ~$900M/annual, 5) lead complex projects cross-functionally and globally, and 6) guide and develop TSD Finance Business Unit BPs.

Job Duties

  • Coordinate FP&A processes (Actuals and Forecasting/Budgeting) by guiding TSD Finance Business Unit BPs and in partnership with Region/Functional Finance teams that provide financial and operational transparency to all Therapeutics Solution Division (TSD) Business Units and Business Leaders for purposes of enabling better/quicker operational decisions to help achieve short-term and long-term financial and strategic targets.
  • Serve as a financial business partner to senior leadership supporting business growth and profitability by providing periodic financial analysis (P&L, Balance Sheet, other financial KPIs) and strategic insight regarding business opportunities (market and product strategies business optimization M&A etc.) and business performance against expectations.
  • Coordinate and guide the monthly, quarterly and annual budget / forecast cycles globally related to the TSD P&L, and in close partnership TSD Finance team, Regional and Cross-Functional Finance teams.
  • Lead the development of a long term global financial plan based on underlying business and portfolio drivers by guiding TSD Finance Business Unit BPs and in partnership with global cross-functional stakeholders (including TSD Business Units, Functions and Regions).
  • Support in building presentations for TSD Business Unit Leadership team and TSD Executive Committee that enable clear and concise understanding of the financial story.
  • Improve transparency, management, and driving efficiency of TSD Cost of Sales (~$900M/annual of cost) in partnership with CMSO Finance team. This includes leading the demand planning process for TSD Division across other global and regional Finance teams.
  • Support in driving success of potential future acquisitions within TSD and support financial integration processes
  • Collaborate with financial leadership globally to continuously identify best-in-class financial practices, methodologies and tools, and oversee their development and implementation.
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication skills. Ability to present financial material concisely and confidently to senior management and/or non-Finance colleagues as required. Exhibits emotional intelligence to gain engagement and influence key stakeholders.
  • Guide and help develop Finance teams in fulfilling their finance business partnership responsibilities as it relates to TSD P&L.
  • Lead and/or assist with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance. MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant financial experience, preferably in a large global company with matrix organization.
  • Must possess sound financial management competence and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to persuasively influence all levels of the organization.
  • Innovative with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions and with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and influencing process and organizational change.
  • Must have strong PC Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Must demonstrate strategic thinking as well as the willingness to lead initiatives through implementation.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced ever-changing and evolving work environment

 

Preferred:

  • Experience in SAP, Oracle and/or Hyperion preferred.
  • Preferred experience with global (Multi-National) organizations and financial systems.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $147,763.00 - $206,869.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
