Job Description
The Global Senior Product Manager, GI ET will be the primary global marketing leader and subject matter expert for a critical product category within the GI Endotherapy business unit.
They are responsible for global marketing product development activities and deliverables throughout the stage gates of projects within their scope of responsibility and lifecycle management with minimal direction.
This individual will own financial performance and portfolio strategy for their product category while identifying and driving global expansion opportunities across the portfolio in close partnership with the with regional marketing teams around the world.
They will participate in cross-functional product development teams and be responsible for defining user requirements and translating requirements into specifications, marketing claims, and clinical indications for use. They will have close collaboration with global internal R&D, RA/QA, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain and OEM Partners. This individual will also work closely with Global Regional Marketing during requirement building and global strategy planning and oversee commercialization efforts of projects to ensure successful product launches.
Experience in strategy development, early opportunity assessments, VOC, forecasting, market modelling, business case development and a successful track record in market access and new product development is strongly preferred. This requires a good understanding of clinical usage, market trends, competitive forces, disruptive technologies, value proposition and healthcare economic awareness.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivates, demonstrates strong strategic mindset and business insight, along with excellent analytic, facilitation, and communication skills (both oral and written). The Global Senior Product Manager will report to the Director of Global Product Marketing
Job Duties
* Serve as global marketing lead for a crucial business segment within global ET BU. Ensures all business requirements and stage gate deliverables are executed in an effective and timely manner under their scope of responsibility.
* Owner of voice of customer activities. Develops clear user requirements for future product offerings and collaborate with R&D and OEM Partners to translate user needs into requirements.
* Collaborates with Market Intelligence to design and execute primary and secondary research to define user requirements and drive business portfolio decisions.
* Responsible for informing and leading internal cross-functional teams as well as regional marketing teams on business deliverables/requirements under their scope of responsibility.
* Collaborates with global regional commercial teams to ensure that sellers around the world have clear, consistent, evidence-backed messaging and the tools/programs they need to clearly communicate value proposition to their customers and ensuring successful product launches.
* Responsible for strategic planning and driving alignment of plans, budgets, timelines, risk assessment, progress, and risk mitigation proposals as necessary according to business and market dynamics.
* Identifies market expansion opportunities to grow the business segment both in existing and emerging regions/geographies.
* Works closely with the Market Development Team, Market Intelligence, Clinical and HEOR to ensure strong strategic alignment for key projects.
* Develops and manages relationships with HCP’s who will champion Olympus products and act as advisors in new product development activities.
* Develops in depth knowledge and clinical expertise in areas of responsibility. This includes being actively engaged in product trainings, field visits, industry trade shows, trainings, HCP engagements, etc
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s degree is required, with a major in Marketing, Business or related field; MBA preferred.
* Minimum 5 years global marketing or business development experience in the field of medical devices.
* Deep understanding of market access tactics and healthcare economic value principles for medical devices.
* Documented and successful experience developing markets for new medical device technologies.
* Ability to travel up to 35% (including international)
* Occasional evening and weekend work from home required
* Other projects and duties as necessary and assigned

* Experience in designing and executing voice of customer research and user requirement identification
* Ability to lead early stage development teams including development of business case, financial modelling, reimbursement, value proposition

* Strong clinical competency, strategic mindset, business insight and analytical skills
* Excellent influence, facilitation and problem solving skills
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfortable presenting to different audiences (globally)
* Proven track record of identifying and developing thought leader relationships
