Job Description

The Global Product Manager, GI Digital Commercialization will be expected to deliver independent execution of all deliverables within their scope of responsibility. This individual will work collaboratively with peers across the globe within Olympus to align global commercial strategies to regional execution plans and create and execute global commercial strategies & product launch materials that include a global launch package, product value proposition refinement, training plans, sales collateral, and messaging to drive awareness. As a Global Product Manager, Digital Commercialization, the candidate will be providing clear direction to the team and all downstream regional partners on all business deliverable/requirements and design control requirements under their scope of responsibility. They will collaborate to develop an intimate knowledge of customer needs and market landscapes in both existing and emerging markets for the Global CS Business Unit. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and self-motivated, with excellent analytic, facilitation, and communication skills (both oral and written). The Global Product Manager, Digital Commercialization will report into the Director of Commercialization within the Strategic Marketing Organization of the CSBU.

Job Duties

* Collaborates to develop commercial strategies to support growth of new product launches, geographic expansion of core portfolio products and optimization of launched products in market

 

* Collaborates to develop and execute global launch strategy for the GI Business Unit with Region input and collaboration (e.g., type of events, potential channels, etc.)

 

* Partner with New Product Development counterpart to develop technical content for all global marketing materials

 

* Support creation of commercial response materials & strategies to address rising competitive threats & changing market trends

 

* Maintain responsibility for informing internal cross-functional teams, as well as regional partners at all levels on business deliverable/requirements under your scope of responsibility for global commercialization

 

* Develop comprehensive digital plans for awareness and lead generation campaigns (search, advertising, email, social media, landing pages, etc.) with measurable objectives

 

* Refine product value proposition and marketing message working with Regional Product Managers

 

* Develop and deliver launch packages to regional partners that includes pitch packs, tools, and campaign collateral. Performs analyses on existing programs to determine future opportunities.

 

* Collaborate with MarCom organization to develop launch package materials for global launch packages in preparation for local customization/tailoring by regions (all materials should be 80% complete at hand-off)

 

* Communicate progress on all PDP activities to key stakeholders and collaborate with project lead to develop mitigation plans to address changes in project plans or changing business dynamics.

 

* Develop and design messaging and objectives, while providing guidance for global campaigns (e.g., demos, web, e-mail, etc.) to regional counterparts for consistency

 

* Coordinate with supply chain and service & repair to ensure launch readiness, including global forecasting, service plan and ensuring inventory levels are met and maintained in our distribution centers to support all global launches

 

* Develop launch training plan and provide requested content to COE/Regional Product managers for training events (internal and external support)

 

* Maintain responsibility and drive alignment of commercialization plans, budgets, timelines, risk assessment, progress, and risk mitigation proposals, as necessary.

 

* Establish global KPIs to track product launch and execution, develop mitigation plans as needed to keep all targets on time/track

 

* Create and collate best-practices across all launches and share with regions

 

* Develop and manage relationships with thought leaders who will champion Olympus products and act as advisors during the commercialization phase.

 

* Maintain expertise by attending procedures, courses, workshops, tradeshows, and staying abreast of market dynamics, competitive landscape and global industry changes and technological advancements.

 

* Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Bachelor’s degree is required.

 

* Minimum of 3 years experience with medical devices, diagnostics, corporate strategy, portfolio strategy/management, upstream marketing, downstream marketing, project management, analytics, R&D.

 

* Minimum of 1 year of experience in new product development or successful new product introductions within medical device field.

 

* Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends on occasion.

 

* Ability to travel internationally. Domestic and international travel expected to be 25%.
