The Global IoMT Connectivity leader is a key member of the Digital Engineering team. The global role is responsible for leading the Olympus product and services technical approach for developing and deploying Internet of Medical Things capabilities. This person works with various development and research teams to make sure the appropriate processes and capabilities are in place to connect future and legacy products and services. They develop, standardize, and improve a process for building IoMT connectivity solutions. They work with the IoMT team to build, test and support high-quality, innovative and performing IoMT solutions that comply with an overarching reference architecture, development standards and technical design principles. They are technical thought leaders who communicate with product managers and customers to meet the needs of the business and deliver value.

Job Duties

  • Leads all technical aspects of IoMT connectivity with Olympus clinical edge products.
  • Responsible with the IoMT Technical Leader and IoMT Solution Architect for Olympus IoMT technology direction and approaches.
  • Provides technical direction, leadership and guidance to appropriate global team members, programs, and projects.
  • Works with project teams to create foundational IoMT capabilities for delivering successful projects.
  • Partners with the IoMT team to build, test and support high-quality, innovative and performing IoMT solutions.
  • Provides healthy digital solutions in regards to compliance, security, stability and other characteristics.
  • Participates with the team to design and build robust architectures.
  • Ensure and maintain a healthy relationship within and outside the Digital Unit team including stakeholders, peers, vendors, etc.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree, ideally in engineering, computer science or comparable background 
  • Domain Experience:
    • Minimum of 12 years of work experience.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience working with IoMT, connected devices, and connectivity strategies and implementations.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience with healthcare technology, clinic IT environments, and the healthcare industry.
    • Experience with embedded hardware design to software cloud connectivity.
    • Experience with network protocols, network infrastructure, network security,
    • Experience with privacy and security standards and requirements.
    • Experience with IoT wireless communication technologies (e.g., LTE/-M, NB-IoT, 5G, LoRaWAN).
    • Experience bringing new technologies through development processes.
  • Agile/Digital Experience:
    • Experience with systems architecture for large scale, complex digital initiatives.
    • Experience with operating in an Agile and DevOps environment.
  • Traveling: 15%


Preferred:

  • Experience with cloud connectivity, multi-cloud strategies, and Microsoft Azure desirable.
  • Highly collaborative consensus builder with experience liaising between diverse teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and problem solving skills.
