Job Description

The ENT Product Manager (PM) is responsible for developing and implementing the business plan for a wide range of ENT products. The PM is the product expert and is responsible for providing the tools and resources necessary to drive downstream marketing activities. This includes, but is not limited to: forecasting, sales tracking, product launches, product lifecycle management, new product development, internal and external promotional activity, development of collateral materials, sales training, customer relationship management, competitive analysis, technical support and clinical study support. Along with helping to manage product participation at major trade shows, the incumbent will also take a lead role in fostering relationships with healthcare professionals.

Job Duties

In a typical day, you will:


* Interface with cross-functional partners to communicate market needs


* Maintain responsibility for fieldwork with sales, sales management, and distributor partners.


* Create marketing collateral and tools to support the selling process.


* Monitor sales trends and update forecasts as necessary to meet demand.


* Maintain awareness of market trends including competition, procedural/market growth, reimbursement, and emerging technologies.


* Develop relationships and work closely with health care professionals in clinical situations (operating rooms, clinics, and/or doctors’ offices) to understand market needs and promote the benefits of Olympus products.


* Maintain your expertise as the "product and clinical specialist" by attending procedures, courses, tradeshows, and staying abreast of industry changes and advancements.


* Create and deliver training presentations and tools for the sales force at new hire trainings and national sales meetings.


* Communicate regularly and effectively with the sales organizations (internal and external), sharing best practices and procedural developments.


* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements



* EXTERNAL CANDIDATES: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing and/or sales position.


* INTERNAL CANDIDATES: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field with a minimum of 2 years of Olympus experience combined.


* Ability to travel, up to 30%, to customer sites, tradeshows, and OCA affiliate sites; international travel may be required periodically.




* Experience launching products.


* Experience in medical device industry.


* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, & Word.


* Financial Analysis and forecasting skills.


* Experience creating and executing marketing plans.


* Knowledge of physiology and anatomy.


* Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong customer and sales force relationships.


* Ability to translate technical information into meaningful sales talk tracks and customer messaging.
