Job Description

The Systems Architecture Lead spearheads the engineering of the digital unit's data lake, as well as the overall systems architecture of the DU. This person also manages the overall data infrastructure of the digital unit and collaborates with IT leadership to determine the unit's data warehousing and backend architecture strategy. This person also oversees each of the digital product's dataflows during development, testing, and deployment, working closely with the Artificial Intelligence Lead. This person will also be responsible for overseeing the DU's systems architecture, ensuring that products under development are in line with chosen languages.

Job Duties

* Leads the implementation of the digital unit's data lake.

 

* Collaborates with IT leadership to determine data warehousing infrastructure.

 

* Manages the relationships and contracts with software and service providers in data platforms and analytics.

 

* Provides technical guidance to data engineers.

 

* Develops and maintains the ability to implement data workflows in a variety of tools that balance the speed of development, understandability, performance and scalability.

 

* Designs and builds systems architecture to create platform(s) for DU to use during development.

 

* Participates in key decision-making bodies within the DU.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong software infrastructure management expertise.

 

* Experience leading backend systems development.

 

* Experience in architecting data lakes and data integration platforms.

 

* Experience building infrastructure platforms for development Agile/Digital.

 

* Experience with operating in an Agile and DevOps environment.

 

* Experience defining systems architecture for large scale, complex digital initiatives Individual.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
*
 Highly collaborative consensus builder with experience liaising between data science and IT teams.

 

* Strong strategic thinking ability; capable of setting broad systems architecture strategy.

 

* Champions the use of data and analytics in building digital solutions.

 

* Self-motivated, proactive problem solver.
