Job Description

Nationwide (remote)

Associate Finance Manager will manage and enhance all financial valuation models and related processes that drive long-term investment decisions and growth of a global $2B Therapeutic Solutions Division (TSD). The incumbent will lead and/or support monitoring of detailed project investments and provide robust financial valuations to ensure the global new product development and operational improvement initiatives align with executive product portfolio decisions and Olympus Business Unit commitments. The incumbent will also collaborate cross-functionally to generate long range financial planning process for the TSD.

Job Duties

* Manage and enhance various complex financial models for TSD Strategic Portfolio team. Become Subject Matter Expert on such financial models for the users globally.
 

* Actively support enhancements of software solution related to existing financial models to help drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, consistency, and controls globally for more robust prioritization of investments.

 

* Act as business partner for the investment project teams. Review materials to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness of submissions.
 

* Lead end-to-end financial valuations of specific organic investment projects (for $2B Therapeutic Solutions Division) and/or M&A (for both global $6B Medical Business) working directly with Business Unit Leaders, Marketing Team, R&D Team, Business Development Team and other third-party advisors. 
 

* Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis Team to create five-year financial planning and forecasting process inclusive of project (organic and inorganic) investments. 
 

* Partner with various functions to create analytical tools and standardized templates for easy inputs and output review that feed into five-year planning tool. 
 

* Apply analytical skills and financial skills to understand the consolidation of financial data for a global business with ability to spin the data in multiple views within a matrixed environment.
 

* Support on adhoc projects that impact Portfolio Finance team.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics required.

 

* Minimum of 6 years financial experience in business planning and financial analysis team within global corporate finance setting.

 

* Minimum of 2 years of financial project investment experience.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* MBA or Masters’ preferred.

 

*  Advanced knowledge of creating and managing complex financial models.

 

* Advanced level user of MS Excel.

 

* Ease with manipulating and interpreting financial data from multiple sources. 

 

* Critical thinking with strong problem-solving skills. Attention to detail with independent mind-set that ensures all product is generated with accuracy and completeness.

 

* Skilled and highly motivated person, who can research, compile, analyze, report and present findings concisely.

 

* Ability to manage numerous assignments, identify priorities and exercise good judgment.

 

* Ability to thrive in a fast-moving work environment.
