Job Description

The Senior Manager of Infrastructure Operations is responsible for the overall management of highly complex enterprise-wide technology solutions consisting of multiple work streams and/or projects that support the achievement of business objectives. He/she is accountable for delivering technology solutions in line with strategic business objectives and priorities and provides technical insight, oversight, strategic context, direction and leadership to the teams involved. The Senior Manager of Infrastructure Operations will oversee project execution, resource deployment and overall coordination efforts to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to budget with quality outcomes. He/she ensures business needs are clearly understood and the technology implemented meets the needs and expectations of the business.

Job Duties


*  Manages execution of day-to-day operations for Infrastructure Operations and related functions (e.g. voice and data networks, servers, end user services, cloud services)

*  Oversee high level strategic and tactical decisions for Infrastructure tools and applications.

*  Oversee budgets and schedules for project execution, resource deployment and overall coordination efforts to ensure projects are completed on schedule with quality outcomes

*  Ensure business needs are clearly understood and the technology implemented meets the needs and expectations of the business. Supports the business objectives by ensuring a fit-for-purpose IT infrastructure

*  Accountable for developing a culture that focuses on delighting the customer and setting a high benchmark for customer service excellence

*  Develop, stakeholder and measure SLAs (Service Level Agreements), OLAs (Operating Level Agreements), KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and critical success factors related to the stability, reliability and scalability of Infrastructure with the primary goal of delivering outstanding customer service.

*  Active leader and driver of infrastructure solutions directing continuous improvements across the supporting teams

*  Responsible for the overall management and oversight of both internal IT Infrastructure Services as well as those that are outsourced to a Service Provider

*  Responsible for driving continuous improvement of IT infrastructure processes and technology, driving standardization, while ensuring compliance and security

*  Ensures the availability and scalability of the IT network and server infrastructure

*  Leads the IT infrastructure / cloud roadmap development for the Americas, in coordination with the global IT Infrastructure team.

*  Accountable to monitors, report, review and escalate on service performance and alignment (including service levels) for Americas Infrastructure

*  Develops policies on infrastructure for network, cloud, data center, end-user services etc.

*  Conversant with the design, installation, and provisioning of application environments for the application development team to execute projects and initiatives

*  Works closely with project and production support teams for any infrastructure related support as part of project release

*  Responsible for ensuring operational and major incident management

*  Responsible for requisitioning new infrastructure and software license procurement

*  Contributes to the further development and implementation of the (global) IT strategy and Digital Transformation 

*  Responsible for overseeing mitigation of risks raised by the IT Security lead and will also be expected to raise infrastructure issues and risks to relevant technology and security risk forums

*  Overall accountability for all employee-related functions (administrative, training, career planning, etc.) for team members in compliance with company values and good management practices

*  Determine the scope of enhancements and/or change requests, prioritize and manage development and implementation of enhancements and/or change requests

*  Perform all other related tasks as requested

Job Requirements




*  Bachelor's degree in IT Engineering or Business Administration


*  10+ years of relevant experience in supporting compliant manufacturing environments.


*  Self-driven manager. Strong organizational skills.


*  Strong technical background in networking and infrastructure


*  Ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision


*Ability to successfully lead a team.


*  Available to travel in North America (Canada and United States).



*  Excellent customer service skills


*  Ability to speak and write in French is a plus but is not required.
