Job Description

This entry-level Production Test Technician position performs the set-up, calibration, testing and replacement of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. The Production Test Technician determines and may assist developing test methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. This person will test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems, and may rework assemblies and/or systems for testing. Production Test Technician could provide data for technical reports summarizing findings and may recommending solutions to technical problems. The Test Technician may assist in the building and set-up of specialized test equipment.

Job Duties

 

*  Acquire all established health and safety rules.

 

*  Acquire job skills, learn company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks and adherence to production plan schedules while producing high quality products to standards.

 

*  Adhere to policy and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

 

*  Work on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. This person has little or no decision-making responsibility.

 

*  Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.

 

*  Time and attendance are in accordance with company policies, procedures and work area schedule.

 

*  Complete work orders on schedule to ensure a constant flow of finished product to support customer service levels.

 

*  Obtain knowledge of test methods and procedures.

 

*  Develop understanding of typical failure modes.

 

*  Prepare and store test certifications.

 

*  Report non-conforming product and material following company policies and established procedures.

 

*  Establish wired electrical connections and install specified tuning components into assemblies (hand soldering).

 

*  This position may act as the liaison to Manufacturing Operations.

Job Requirements

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

*  High School Degree or GED.

 

*  Requires less than 1 year of related experience.

 

*  Computer skills and literacy.

 

*  Strong attention to detail.

 

*  Must be a highly organized, self-managed individual who strives to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

*  Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment a plus.

 

*  Have good manual dexterity.

 

*  Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously.

 

*  Strong verbal communication skills.

 

*  Enjoy contributing to a diverse manufacturing group.  Able to embrace change and be a Team Player.
