Production Engineer II, XRD-XRF

Job Description

The Production Engineer will work with Production Engineering Manufacturing and Design Engineering teams on the development and testing of new products as well as the support of existing XRF and XRD products.

Job Duties

* Work with cross-functional teams to pilot new products and associated test fixtures.

 

* Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams on the design development and deployment of new test platforms and technologies.

 

* Drive Design for Manufacturability and Assembly in existing product teams.

 

* Provide sustaining technical support (software hardware) for existing products.

 

* Prepare & execute test plans verification & validation plans final reports and ECNs.

 

* Create and update documentation for manufacturing standards of work.

 

* Spot failure trends and work with other technicians and engineers to implement corrective actions to lower overall failure rates.

 

* Evaluate data collection systems make recommendations and updates.

 

* Perform all other essential duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Physics is required.

 

* Minimum 5 years of experience is required.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Masters Degree a plus.

 

* Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

* Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.

 

* Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery.

 

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

 

* Ability to take the initiative and drive for results.

 

* Must have strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

 

* Knowledge of XRF or XRD physics is a plus.

 

* Hands-on experience with electrical systems (AC/DC analog/digital circuits) and system wiring is a plus.

 

* Ability to trouble shoot to component level a plus.

 

* Factory automation experience a plus.
