Job Description

The Integration and Automation Specialist at Olympus will be responsible for the successful integration of Olmypus XRF products within a customer’s product workflow.  The position reports to the Applications Manager and is located in the Waltham, MA Manufacturing Busines Center.  The position will work in a team environment directly with customers as well as key partners in the Olympus Sales Business Centers globally.  Support and training will be via remote tools and in-person assistance at customer facilities. 

Job Duties

 Develop Python, C# or C++ scripts that direct operation of the product API for a customer’s desired workflow.

· Develop or work with customer created GUI and/or scripts to augment existing automation software and improve workflow efficiency.

· Assist client IT staff with basic networking and data sharing of XRF instruments

· Train the customer on the use of developed scripts and interfaces for XRF instruments.

· Provide installation, troubleshooting/debugging and technical guidance of XRF instruments at the customer’s facility for the product integrator and make necessary recommendations to ensure desired operation.

· Support developing operating and troubleshooting knowledge of the Applications team and Sales Business Center partners.

· Feedback field knowledge into Product Management to ensure continuous improvement of the products.

· Travel to both domestic and international customer locations for in-person suppor

Job Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

· Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering, Software or technical discipline or an Associate Degree in related field with equivalent work experience would also be considered

· A minimum of one (1) year of experience in an Engineering Environment, co-op or internship experience will be considered

· Proficient organizational, project management, and presentation skills to interact with all levels within the organization and with internal and end-use customers

· Ability to communicate effectively 

· Ability to manage multiple projects in an engineering environment

· Experience and working knowledge of mobile, PC applications and Microsoft Office Products

· Ability to travel 25-30% for the position

· Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be available
