Job Description

The Assembler III  performs a wide variety of mechanical or measurement assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub- assemblies. This person determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable assembling, bonding and fitting on assembly units. The Assembler III makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specification.

Job Duties

* Follow standardized assembly processes.


* Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. 


* Complete work orders on schedule to ensure a constant flow of finished product to support customer service levels. 


* Advise management of adverse manufacturing and/or equipment conditions and issues that are affecting production and /or safety.


* Formulate epoxies and powdered metals to established formulations.


* Cast and pot products.


* Prepare product components and fixtures for assembly.


* Establish wired electrical connections and install specified tuning components into assemblies (hand soldering).


* Operate machinery and precision measurement equipment to manufacture molded parts and materials used in the production of ultrasound transducers.


* Obtain knowledge of all proprietary formulations.


* Identify overdue or potentially overdue work orders and alert managers.


* Constantly review current manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Recommend changes to eliminate waste and to promote cost reductions without sacrificing quality.


* Act as a champion of the company’s Lean and Continuous Improvement programs.


* Report labor accurately in ERP Manufacturing System as well as ADP

Job Requirements




* High School Degree or Equivalent


* Minimum of 4 years of related experience.




* Work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.


* Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. 


* Follow all applicable manufacturing procedures and documentation.


* Follow work order activities established via manufacturing reports.


* Have good manual dexterity.


*Strong attention to detail.


* Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously.


* Must be a highly organized, self-managed individual who works with minimum supervision and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.


* Maintain clean and organized work area. (Level 5 5S Work Place)


* Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment a plus.


* Computer skills and literacy.
