Job Description

Perform engineering design, development, and maintenance tasks, and assist in various phases of ongoing projects. Work with a dynamic team of product managers, mechanical, acoustical and manufacturing engineers to improve existing and create new best-in-class single-element and phased array probes. Work includes concept generation, CAD layouts, detail design, fixture design and testing.

Job Duties

In a typical day, you will:

 

* Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates mechanical parts and components for ultrasonic probes and scanners.

 

* Create and maintain documentation to accepted standards for new and mature products.

 

* Collaborate with other functions to update and release documentation using the PLM system to create and process PCN, ECN and First Article Approvals.
 

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.

 

* Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environement.

 

*  Ability to effectively communicate with manufacturing employees.

 

* Extensive experience with 3D modelling software (Solidworks preferred).

 

* Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

 

* Basic understanding of piezeoelectricity and ultrasonic transducer design.

 

* Demonstrated structured problem solving skills.

 

* Experience in the design and manufacture of phased array products preferred.

 

* Understanding of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.

 

* Documentation in accordance with ISO standards.

 

* Two years professional experience in related roles.

 

* Familiar with electronic change notice process.
