Job Description

The Technical Assistance Center (TAC) Clinical Support Specialist I will use their computer, network, electronics, respiratory and/or biomedical technical expertise for phone, virtual and email support of Olympus Veran Technologies (OVT) Electromagnetic Navigation System products and other associated Olympus products and services for Customers, Field Resources, and Sales Representatives
  
This individual will be responsible for providing technical expertise related to the use of OVT Electromagnetic Navigation System Pulmonary products and services, including electronics, video, and other medical products.  Customer support will include OVT Customers, Sales Representatives, Field Resources, Product Managers, and all other related OVT departments.

This expertise will include procedural use, troubleshooting, problem solving and equipment investigations for Customer Inquiries, Complaints, and Potential Adverse Events (PAE).  Having knowledge regarding FDA regulatory compliance is a plus.
 

Job Duties

* Use technical abilities, knowledge of Pulmonary equipment, Respiratory, and Biomedical expertise to provide nationwide technical support to internal and external customers, including medical facilities, Field Resources, and Sales Representatives.
 

* Participate in the utilization and improvement of a new cutting-edge remote procedure support system.
 

* On site and remotely operate Electromagnetic Navigation Systems to educate and train physicians and all hospital personnel on all aspects of our products and services.
 

* Provide remote guidance and assistance to physicians and medical staff by evaluating options and problem solving during clinical procedures.
 

* Direct and assist all hospital entities in performing necessary pre-procedural duties.
 

* Effectively log support calls using all necessary metrics.
 

* Respond to support emails efficiently.
 

* Initiate and accurately document complaint issues related to corporate compliance with and emphasis on FDA regulations.  
 

* Escalate problems, needs, or ideas related to OVT products and services to the appropriate escalation path for investigation or corrective action.  This includes timely reporting of Potential Adverse Events (PAE).
 

* Appropriately organize, analyze and communicate data.
 

* Contribute to the quality improvement process by recommending product modifications.
 

* Maintain proper knowledge base regarding developments, products and services via ongoing training and independent research in the required medical fields.
 

* Perform other duties and responsibilities needed to meet the needs of the organization.
 

* Assist as needed with field service requests, including but not limited to procedure support, installations, evaluations, and training.
 

* Assist with Clinical Study procedure support, data entry, and tracking of data in conjunction with clinical trials.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Associate Degree in related field required.

 

* Must be willing to travel 20%-30%.

 

* Ability to work overtime as required.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Bachelor Degree in related field preferred.


* Computed Tomography experience is desired.
 

* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience within the healthcare arena preferred.

 

* Proficient in the use of PC software applications, including Microsoft Office.
 

* Experience in a technical call center a plus.
 

* Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.

* Prior experience with Image Guided Surgery desired.

* Demonstrated ability to work as an effective and responsible team member to cohesively create a positive work environment.

 

* Demonstrate positive citizenship by following corporate and department policies and protocol.
 

* Receptive to positive and negative feedback to improve performance.
