Job Description

The Principal Financial Analyst serves as an internal functional expert and consultant to management regarding financial analysis budgeting and forecasting of Corporate and Shared Service Operating Expenses. The incumbent will perform expense related activities for the month end close budgeting and forecasting processes in order to manage and control spend. This role directly interacts with upper management to review financial status and provide recommendations for management decisions. This role will analyze and interpret financial data in order to build and communicate critical decision-driving reports for senior leadership.

Job Duties

In a typical day, you will:

 

* Manage and enhance various complex financial models for TSD Business Strategic Portfolio team.

 

* Become Subject Matter Expert on such financial models for the users globally.

 

* Actively drive implementation of software solution to manage currently existing financial models.

 

* Maintain and enhance standard project valuation software tools to analyze new product investment options and operations initiative evaluations for cost improvement options.

 

* Act as key member of project teams; create financial valuations and participate in preparation for presentations and investment requests to the executive board.

 

* Review materials to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency and timeliness of submissions.

 

* Lead financial valuations of specific organic investment projects and/or M&A working directly with Business Unit Leaders, Marketing Team, R&D Team, Business Development Team and other Finance Teams.

 

* Act as independent review personnel to validate accuracy and completeness of all data inputs into the financial models.

 

* Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis Team to create five-year financial planning and forecasting process inclusive of project (organic and inorganic) investments.

 

* Partner with various functions to create analytical tools and standardized templates for easy inputs and output review that feed into five-year planning tool.

 

* Apply analytical skills and financial skills to understand the consolidation of financial data for a global business with ability to spin the data in multiple views within a matrixed environment.

 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

*B.S. in Finance, Accounting or Economics required, MBA or Masters preferred

 

*Minimum 6-7 years financial experience in business planning and financial analysis team within global corporate finance setting

 

* 2-4 years of financial project investment experience

 

* Advanced knowledge of creating and managing complex financial models

 

* Advanced level user of MS Excel
