Job Description

The Principal Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial support to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Team of a growing global ~$8B Olympus Company. The incumbent will be supporting M&A Team in all areas of an acquisition lifecycle to drive analysis and strategic decisions, gain consensus among stakeholders and prepare clear, concise and compelling analysis for internal customers. The acquisition lifecycle includes business case modeling and review, performing financial valuation, assisting with oversight of financial due diligence, assisting with integration planning and execution, and providing post-acquisition support and review.

Job Duties

In a typical day, you will:

 

* Manage and enhance globally standardized M&A financial models. Become Subject Matter Expert on such financial models for the users globally.

 

* Lead the financial modeling and valuation of potential acquisition opportunities working directly with Business Unit Leaders, M&A Team, and third-party financial advisors.

 

* Develop pro forma financial models and valuation analyses in support of potential acquisitions.

 

*Perform various scenarios analysis for review and clearly present the results and recommendations for action.

 

*Development of presentations outlining the business case, valuation, and supporting analyses of acquisition for internal customers and executives.

 

*Partner with global Finance Teams to create and continuously enhance processes and tools for formal financial due diligence and post-merger integration of an acquisition.

 

*Actively have an oversight of specific acquisitions due diligence and integration planning and ongoing progress updates.

 

*Work closely with the Finance & Accounting, Tax organization, Business Development and Integration teams throughout the lifecycle of an M&A transaction.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS:
 

*B.S. in Finance, Accounting or Economics required, masters preferred

 

*Minimum 6-7 years financial experience in financial strategy team within corporate finance, consulting or investment banking experience

 

*2-4 years of Business Development (M&A) experience

 

*Advanced knowledge of creating and managing complex financial models related to Mergers & Acquisitions

 

*Advanced level user of MS Excel

*Critical thinking with strong problem-solving skills

 

*Attention to detail with independent mind-set that ensures all product is generated with accuracy and completeness

 

*Skilled and highly motivated person, who can research, compile, analyze, report and present findings in a clear and concise way

 

*Manage numerous assignments, identify priorities and exercise good judgment

 

*Ability to thrive in a fast-moving work environment

 

*Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills required

 

*Strong interpersonal skills required, including ability to effectively negotiate and build relationships internally and externally
