Job Description

The Senior Human Resources Manager maitnains responsibility for providing support and leadership to the assigned business partners and employees in the areas of staffing employee relations training policy interpretation and communication compensation and benefits communication. The isuccessful candidate will engage in both strategic and tactical human resources functions.

Job Duties

* Provides creative Human Resources solutions to the organization's strategic business needs by actively participating in business meetings understanding the business direction and linking the business strategies to talent implications.

 

* Resolves employee inquiries with a minimum of referrals to Corporate OHR resources.

 

* Identifies alternative and cost effective sources of recruitment in support of business requirements. R

 

* Responds to sensitive and confidential issues and concerns raised by all levels of employees in a confidential timely and objective manner.

 

* Maintains constant awareness of general employee issues/concerns and recommends solutions to management to ensure positive morale and issue free environment.

 

* Identifies training needs and actively supports the career development of employees within the framework of the Company's Human Resources Planning Process.

 

* Actively interprets policies and procedures.

 

* Coaches and educates employees at all levels regarding programs and policies such as benefits PED MBO sexual harassment ethics and attendance.

 

* Contributes to cross functional human resources related projects and initiatives as assigned. Identifies and recommends changes to policies and processes.

 

* Identifies compensation issues and reviews with local management and Corporate Compensation to ensure pay equity and proper placement within market and company guidelines.

 

* Provides weekly HR status reports to executive management and HR management.

 

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Industrial Relations or equivalent knowledge required.

 

* Minimum of 7 years of Human Resources Generalist experience including 4-5 years in a supervisory capacity. HR Generalist experience should include recruitment & staffing employee relations training compensation benefits and career development. Experience to include providing HR support to operations/manufacturing employee and management groups. Thorough knowledge of current federal state and local Human Resources-related laws regulations trends and issues.

 

* Occasional Travel required

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Masters degree and/or PHR/SPHR preferred.

 

* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information in written and verbal form.

 

* Ability to forge and maintain strategic business partnerships.

 

* Ability to interface with all levels of employees in the organization.

 

* Ability to analyze data and create and communicate options to meet desired business objectives.


* Proficiency with computer systems including Word Excel Microsoft Project HRIS (preferably SAP HCM).

 

* Proven capabilities in leading initiatives projects and staff.
