Job Description

The Project Manager, Integration and Business Processes, is responsible for project management of cross-functional integration activities related to external acquisitions once they are handed over from the Business Development team, internal integrations, or other business process or transformation projects.

Job Duties

* Provide project management support to M&A integrations or other business process or transformation projects.

 

* For M&A integration, under the leadership of the integration program leader, take over project management duties from the global integration manager once the project is transferred from business development leadership to acquiring divisions/entity leadership.

 

* For business process or transformation projects, assist in the project initiation and assembly of an appropriate cross-functional team to accomplish project objectives.

 

* Drive execution of the overall project plan in accordance with Olympus processes, and procedures; maintain and update the cross-functional project plan as needed.

 

* Review, understand, and assist with execution in accordance with any legal agreements associated with the project.

 

* Develop and propagate a strong understanding of the business needs underlying the project.

 

* Implement appropriate advanced project management tools and techniques including the execution of project plans/schedules; budget and expense management; resource planning; and regular reporting to executive management on progress/status.

 

* Effectively influence the team with written and verbal communication.

 

* Perform other duties as assigned,

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Bachelor’s degree.

 

* Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in Medical Devices, but consideration will also be given to experience in other highly regulated industries in product development, mergers and acquisitions/integration, strategic marketing, or business development efforts.

 

* Must be expert level user of Microsoft Project and be proficient in Excel, Power Point, Visio, and Word.

 

* Position requires up to 20% domestic and international travel.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

 

* Must have high business acumen and an ability to learn quickly and adapt to new circumstances.

 

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

 

* Must be effective at dealing with change and ambiguity as business needs shift, demonstrating flexibility while ensuring compliance and managing stress well.

 

* Group facilitation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills are essential.

 

* Strong understanding of advanced project management tools and techniques.

 

* Understanding of the typical functional roles and responsibilities in medical device organizations.
