Job Description
This position is responsible for financial management and support for the OSTA Repair manufacturing operations located in San Jose, CA and Bartlett, TN. The OSTA repair business has about 800 employees across their facilities.
This position is responsible for execution of:
Financial policies, procedures, and controls pertaining to Inventory/Reserves, Costing, Other Cost of Sales and Inventory Asset / Reserves, and Providing decision support for Strategic Planning, Budgeting / Forecasting and Accounting / Reporting of the Repair Business.
This individual will partner with the Repair Operations Management team, and site personnel to analyze results, drive productivity, enhance inventory management, increase cost savings, and achieve defined objectives. Collaborating with OSTA Corporate Financial Planning, Site Manufacturing, Global Finance and other Finance personnel, this role will be responsible for Operations-related business case preparation and financial analysis/justifications of investment projects, and the related tracking of actual to planned results.
Job Duties
- As the Finance Partner to the Repair Business Management team, support Strategic Initiatives by building financial models to provide decision support.
- Support Strategic Initiatives to improve efficiency and drive cost reductions in the Repair Operations.
- Perform the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes to promote accurate estimates/standards of performance.
- Analyze variances during the year to promote understanding of results and improve performance – at the Plant level.
- Collaborate with Operations to build out and own the labor requirements model based on forecasted production data – at individual Plant level.
- In Collaboration with Operations, provide actual cost modelling and standard cost development support for pricing and other business decisions.
- Prepare, review and analyze labor, manufacturing and inventory reports, and report any variances to management.
- Develop new reporting methodologies to explain site performance and highlight key indicators - at individual Plant level.
- Perform monthly close activities such as review of general ledger activity, journal entry review, account analyses and reconciliations, department expense analysis, and other assigned duties.
- Prepare financial valuations to evaluate major project initiatives and capital investments
- Ensure compliance with JSOX and other controls as they relate to areas of responsibility
Job Requirements
Required:
- BS degree in accounting/finance/economics/business administration/management and Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training required.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training required.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of managing and developing people.
- Manufacturing and / or After Market Service Business experience necessary. (Medical Devices / Electronics).
- Thorough knowledge of accounting standards, financial management and analysis.
- Previous knowledge and experience with MRP/ERP and cost and inventory accounting.
- Excellent computer skills including ability to create spreadsheets and provide analysis and other reports utilizing Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
- 10% to 15% travel.
Preferred:
- MBA or C.P.A desirable.
- Manufacturing industry experience desirable.
- Prior experience with Oracle / Hyperion systems desirable.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position in this location is $113,496.00 - $158,894.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
