Job Description
The HR Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the San Jose Repair facility. This position requires a proactive individual with strong organizational and technical skills, excellent communication and analytical abilities, and a deep understanding of HR practices and regulations. The individual will support a large facility and must be flexible with work schedule and be able to prioritize work. This position requires honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
Job Duties
- ADP Administrator for site including submitting weekly time for non-exempt workforce.
- Serves as Leave and Workers Compensation Administrator for employees by providing counselling to employees, managers, and HRBPs on topics and procedures related to leave of absences.
- Assists with recruiting by assisting with the job evaluation process with managers and compensation. Tracks position from job description submission through opening a requisition ensuring positions are correctly opened in the HRIS system.
- Ensures that California regulations are being upheld.
- Support training for supervisors and managers.
- Provides coaching to Supervisors on handling employee issues.
- Collaborates with HRBPs to address employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Answer employee questions and escalate concerns as appropriate.
- Assists in the preparation for annual talent reviews with managers.
- Conducts exit interviews for offboarding employees.
- Facilitates employee onboarding including conducting new hire orientations.
- Provides headcount report to finance and business on a monthly basis.
- Analyses people data to identify trends and insights that inform HR strategies and decision-making.
- Provides regular reports on key HR metrics, such as employee turnover, retention rates, and engagement levels.
- Ensures the accuracy and integrity of HR data by conducting regular data audits and implementing best practices for data management.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assists in the preparation and submission of required HR reports and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and databases.
- Conducts audits of HR processes and policies to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Expert and power user in HR information systems.
- Support special projects as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in an HR support role, or relevant school and/or internship experience, strongly preferred in a manufacturing environment with a large non-exempt population.
- Experience working with HRIS systems and other HR-related software.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position in this location is $71,459.00 - $96,468.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
