Job Description

In support of customer satisfaction this position is responsible for the development maintenance and improvement of repair processes for endoscopic equipment. Duties also include the introduction and enhancement of new repair processes technology information systems tools and equipment into the repair operations. This manager will drive cost reduction activities via Kaizen events or business process reengineering. The Manager of Production Control will manage and lead implementation of productivity improvement activities to achieve maximum efficiency productivity and effectiveness of resources.

Job Duties

* Oversees the overall flow of repairs throughout the shop floor to achieve maximum efficiency and minimum turnaround time. 


*Develop and implement effective repair / production processes to maximize utilization of resources.


* Assure development of production control department capabilities to include training education outside hiring and other activities necessary to provide the required level of support to the organization.


* Manage introduction of new technology service and repair processes and methods. This includes process flow layout & line set up design and/or selection of tools jigs and equipment and methods development.


* Establish and actively promote improvement programs based on quality cost and delivery (QCD).


* Maintain performance measurement and control systems.


* In coordination with Product Line Managers and Operations Plans and analyzes the scheduling expediting and dispatching of repairs.


* Through Information System Automation organizes shop floor material consumption and replenishment system; daily system transactions; throughput times; and other production data in order to see that delivery requirements are met and resources are maximized.


* Reviews Production and Operation reports. Coordinates the resolution of operational production and service problems to ensure minimum costs and the prevention of operational delays.


* Advises and recommends actions to management of anticipated output problems such as parts shortage engineering changes equipment failure approval delays cancellation of orders etc.


* Recommends methods of process simplifications such as reduction of queues kanbans etc. to reduce turnaround times and improve efficiencies.


* Perform all other essential duties as directed.

Job Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or technical equivalent.


* Minimum of five years' industrial engineering or related experience in a labor-intensive manufacturing/ repair/ service environment at a management level.


* Experience in administering labor control systems including work measurement and evaluation systems.


* Application of specialized knowledge and skills together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify predict and evaluate the results to be obtained from the various systems developed.



* Automation assessment and implementation experience.


* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.


* Experience in coordinating activities among department or groups.


* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.


* Ability to multi-task prioritize efforts based on business objectives and build lasting processes to accomplish ongoing tasks.


* Strong knowledge of development technologies and problem-solving methods.


* The anticipated compensation range for this position is 116,531.00 USD to 163,144.00 USD annually and the compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications.
