Job Description

This position is responsible for providing support to identified the Repair business, in the areas of staffing, employee relations, training, policy interpretation and communication, leaves of absence, compensation and benefits. They will assist in managing HR processes and interactions with the HR Service Center in resolving issues. The incumbent provides customer service to both exempt and non-exempt populations.

Job Duties

* In conjunction with the HR team, provides creative Human Resources solutions to meet the respective strategic business needs of the Repair business.

 

* Provided support to management in identifying training needs and actively supports the career development of employees within the framework of the Company’s Human Resources policies and procedures. ·

 

* In consultation with HR leadership, will support sensitive and confidential issues and concerns raised by all levels of employees in a confidential, timely, and objective manner.

 

* Ensures that HR systems files documentation and communications are current and comply with applicable laws.

 

* Oversees LOA process including interactive process relative to FMLA ADA worker compensation

 

* Maintains constant awareness of general employee issues/concerns and recommends solutions to management to ensure positive morale and an issue-free environment.

 

* Recommends new policies and procedures as needed to provide appropriate responses to employee relations issues.

 

* Provide guidance and documentation related to disciplinary actions and terminations

 

* Resolves employee inquiries with input as required by the Sr Human Resources Manager.

 

* Coaches and educates employees at all levels regarding programs and policies to include but not limited to benefits, PMEs, MBOs, anti-harassment, ethics, and attendance.

 

* Identifies compensation and benefits issues and reviews with Business Group, Corporate Compensation and HR Management recommendations.

 

* Oversees the on-boarding process.

 

* Provides support to the management team in hiring, coaching, and developing employees.

 

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent knowledge.

 

* Minimum of 3 years Human Resources Business Partner experience or equivalent and relevant business experience. HR experience should include experience in at least two of the following: recruitment & staffing, employee relations, training, compensation, benefits and career development.

 

* Knowledge of current federal state and local Human Resources related laws regulations trends and issues with particular understanding of employee leave and EEO related laws and regulations; PHR Certification preferred.

 

* Must be able to handle difficult employee issues in a professional and confidential manner in compliance with Olympus policies and procedures and appropriate regulatory requirements.

* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information in written and verbal form.

 

* Proven ability to leverage critical thinking in problem solving.

 

* Business analytics skills including preparation of reports and analyzing data.

 

* Excellent presentation and problem-solving skills required.

 

* Ability to forge and maintain strategic business partnerships.

 

* Ability to interface with all levels of employees in the organization.

 

* Ability to analyze data and create and communicate options to meet desired business objectives.

 

* Proficiency with computer systems, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
