Job Description

The Clinical Applications Specialist II, a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), is responsible for delivering equipment training, offering clinical case support, and providing education. You will contribute your knowledge and expertise to the sale and marketing of ultrasound products and the enhancement of these products.

Job Duties

  • Assists the sales team by demonstrating and selling all ultrasound products, leveraging technical expertise.
  • Provides technical expertise for the installation of customer products and offers extended on-site support and training post-installation.
  • Troubleshoots, identifies, and corrects equipment-related issues, attempting phone troubleshooting before on-site visits. Initiates technical support or repair for issues beyond clinical expertise.
  • Trains Olympus personnel using appropriate materials and methods to support the Sales Training and Marketing Departments.
  • Supports customer education courses and activities related to the clinical use of ultrasound products. Participates in meetings, shows, and conventions to demonstrate and promote products.
  • Report any product or technique-related problems, needs, or ideas to the appropriate Product or R&D Manager.
  • Maintains working relationships with all levels of the sales organization and other support functions, such as customer service, repair, operations, field service engineering, and administration.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with physicians, nursing management, and other associated personnel at the customer level.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of competitive products and provides input to management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification is required. Must maintain all certifications and registrations.
  • Registered in at least two modalities, one being Abdominal (others may include Vascular, Cardiac, OB/GYN, etc.).
  • Minimum of three years of clinical applications experience in ultrasound.
  • Previous business experience in product demonstration, installation, and usage instruction.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and educate physicians, nursing, and sales personnel.
  • High level of personal organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of customer interaction and customer service support.
  • Must be able to travel extensively.

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Radiology Technologist (RT®) certification is a plus.
  • Gastroenterology background is useful and preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $90,243.00 - $126,339.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
