Job Description

We are currently looking for a summer student to join our Customer Service team of Olympus Canada, Inc. in our Richmond Hill, ON office. This opportunity involves 37.5 hours per week at an hourly rate of $19.00. This summer student assignment will run from June through August 2026.

 

The Summer Student - Customer Service performs customer service functions such as Price Discrepancy and ETA follow ups, logging updates in Repair management system, filing and archiving. Data entry speed and high accuracy required. While the minimum requirement is high school, French bilingualism would be an asset as well as some experience with using computerized systems in a work environment..

Job Duties

  • Basic sales order entry in order entry system.
  • Logging approvals and other updates in Repair management system.
  • Device Repair Prebook.
  • Data entry with speed and a high level of accuracy.
  • Some phone coverage.
  • Follow Olympus Canada Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required. Hours of Work: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college / university during the duration of the summer student program.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.
  • Comfortable working in a computerized environment.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended for employees who are at risk for exposure to blood or other bodily fluids on the job. Service responsibilities include the handling of products and equipment that may have potentially come into contact with blood or bodily fluids. OCI requires that all employees working in areas that may be exposed to this risk, either provide proof of the Twinrix (Hepatitis A and B) vaccination or sign a waiver accepting the possible risk of exposure from not being vaccinated. If you have severe allergies or ever had a severe allergic reaction to a vaccine please seek medical advice before taking this vaccine.

 

Preferred:.

  • Bilingual in French an asset.
  • Data entry experience.
  • Customer Service / Call Centre experience.
  • Using computer systems in a work environment
