Job Description
We are seeking candidates for a 18‑month contract role for our OCI’s Finance team who will be responsible for supporting month-end accounting close and responsible for review and oversee all leasing proposals, maintain proper record and reconciliation of leases. The position will also support marketing program (Olympus Advantage OA), and provide accurate and data-based information on company profit and loss and balance sheet to the Finance and Accounting departments to make sound decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements. The Financial Analyst will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager and work closely together to ensure proper financial reporting and accounting entries are completed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Strong working knowledge and experience of IFRS accounting standards is mandatory.
Job Duties
- Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, reclasses, and other necessary adjustments.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Maintain proper documentation for entries and reconciliations in line with audit standards
- Review and approve leasing brought in by sales management.
- Monitor and control all leasing transactions and ensure proper recording in sub-ledger and general ledger.
- Reconcile sub-ledgers and ensure the integrity of sub-ledger to general ledger.
- Support and collaborate with other teams to execute Sales and Marketing programs.
- Analyze personnel expenses; upload bi-weekly payroll reports and prepare journal entries to ERP systems.
- Monitor and reconcile pension accounts annually and upload contributions to benefit provider portal monthly.
- Summarize headcount by cost centers for loading to ERP system monthly and work with Human Resource department to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare month end closing journal entries including but not limited to accrual entries, adjustments and account reconciliations.
- Perform financial reporting, variance analysis; communicate and analyze results with key stakeholders.
- Support the department in the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
- Liaise with various departmental leads to formulate, analyze and support the budgeting and forecasting process, compile and upload the data to Reporting Tool.
- Review, analyze and interpret financial reports to compile corporate reporting package.
- Liaises with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and company policies and procedures.
- Support the Manager in preparation of ad hoc and other corporate management reports when required.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent knowledge, must be CPA or CPA finalist with a plan to complete in the next 12 months.
- Minimum 1 year hands on lease experience and 3 years experience in accounting, financial analysis, budget or equivalent.
- Strong working knowledge and experience of IFRS accounting standards is mandatory.
- Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven, accountable owner of process and tools.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail required for analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment meeting tight deadlines is required.
- Ability to shift priorities quickly and adjust work schedule based on workload.
- Proven experience using an accounting environment providing key accounting support familiarity with general ledger and production of financial statement.
- Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills required.
- Well organized with the flexibility and able to work independently and as part of small or large departmental and cross departmental teams.
- Proficiency knowledge and technical skill working with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge in Access and Word. Experience with Turbolease, SAP, Hyperion reporting tool and ADP WorkForce Now would be an asset.

Total compensation: $85,513-$90,322 base salary per year + eligibility for a performance-based commission plan, which includes certain non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives. Commission earnings are not guaranteed and are determined by individual sales performance in accordance with the terms of the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan.
