Job Description
The Business Operations Analyst is responsible for leading new initiatives, as it relates to their focus area, by working with cross functional departments to ensure initiatives are launched by the targeted dates. They will perform updates to processes, data requirements, User Acceptance Testing and provide subject matter expertise for responsibilities within their focus support area. This role will provide support to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization’s objectives. The Analyst will act as a resource point for other members of the department and overall organization.
Job Duties
- Learn and exhibit proficient level of knowledge related to key processes, policies and business initiatives as it relates to their focus area.
- Lead all new initiatives for focus business area by including by not limited to; Project and stakeholder updates, establishing problem identifying sessions, setting up meetings to ensure project is running to meet goal alignment, etc.
- Providing the necessary departmental materials to meet the business initiatives required, including but not limited to, Creation and updates of Work Instruction, Quick reference guides, and departmental materials to support the operational success.
- Development of KPI measurements to support review of initiative success/failure for continuous improvement ideas.
- Establish open communication channels with internal resources to assist cross functional departments in accomplishing Company goals and objectives.
- Utilize business data by extracting and analyzing in order to drive and support operational improvements and business strategies.
- Participate in root-cause analysis to recommend process enhancements and UAT testing as needed.
- Develop and maintain key departmental documents.
- Analyze processes: Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Develop new processes: Work with teams to create new processes, procedures, and tools to support business needs.
- Implement solutions: Ensure new processes are implemented and align with the company's goals.
- Foster operational excellence: Help create a culture of operational excellence.
- Provide change management support, and support change management initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in engineering or business.
- Minimum 3-5 years Operations, Business Analysis, Process Improvement or related experience is required.
Preferred:
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential.
- Working knowledge in SAP Business Objects/Business Intelligence Reporting/Salesforce experience or relatable System Reporting experience is desired.
- Must have the ability to interact with internal and external customers of all levels.
- Must demonstrate strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented and have the ability to prioritize as required.
- Travel required within North America as needed.
- Must continually evolve professional interpersonal relationship skills to respectfully work with all levels of the organization.
