Job Description

We are looking for an outgoing highly motivated and organized Shipper to join our Materials Team. You will be working in a friendly team environment setting so if you enjoy taking pride in your work and getting results daily this job is for you. As a Shipper you will be responsible for performing most activities related to processing shipments for domestic and international customers and warehousing functions such cycle counting material kitting for Production builds and Receiving. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and self- driven to ensure our customers receive superior service and quality products. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multi-task with flexibility to prioritize daily workload and requirements. Requires the ability to communicate effectively and work independently as well as the ability to maintain a clean organized and safe work area. 

Job Duties

* Candidate must have knowledge and experience processing shipments using various shipping software and systems such as UPS WorldShip Fed-Ex Ship Manager and DHL Easy Ship Professional and LTL Freight forwarders such as Expeditors and Nippon Express.


* Candidate must have experience with generating shipping documentation such as Shippers Letter of Instruction (SLI) and Commercial Invoices for international shipments.


* The Candidate must have the ability track and trace shipments from pick up through delivery and provide accurate updates.


* Scheduling with Freight Forwarders and Less than load Carriers (LTL).


* Packaging & shipping raw materials and finished goods in a timely and safe manner with various packaging techniques.


* Candidate must have experience intercepting rescheduling and resolving logistical complications while freight is in transit.


* Candidate will pack / ship materials and be able to enter all required data in computer.


* The candidate must be able to problem solve in regards to inventory control issues and applying critical thinking skills to determine the best course of action and implementing solutions.


* Candidate will be responsible for picking packing and modifying packaging with hand tools such as a drill and hand saws as needed to ship product safely efficiently and effectively.


* Candidate must have the ability to follow up with carriers and freight forwarders to confirm shipment of product and relay the information to project managers and installation teams in the field via email communication or phone.


* Candidate must be able to provide updated tracking information to internal and external customers such as project Managers Client Services and members of the installation team.

Job Requirements



* High school diploma or GED required.




* Minimum of 5 years related international shipping experience preferred.


* Experience processing shipments using various Shipping software and systems such as UPS WorldShip Fed-Ex Ship Manager and DHL Easy Ship Professional.


* Experience with MS Office preferred. (Excel & Word)


* Experience with (A.E.S.) Automated Export System and completing (S.L.I.s) Shippers Letter of Instruction and Commercial invoices preferred


* Knowledge and experience with export shipments.


* Experience or training in hazardous materials shipping (i.e. Lithium Ion batteries) preferred.


* Experience working with various databases.


* Must be able to lift 75 lbs.


* Experience with scheduling Freight Forwarders and (LTL) Less Than Load Carriers.


* Experienced with packaging & shipping raw materials and finished goods in a timely and safe manner and must be familiar with various packaging techniques.


* Knowledge in all areas of shipping functions. 


* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.


* Ability to work independently as well as in a fast paced team environment.


* Professional upbeat attitude & punctuality are essential


* Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
