Job Description

The Engineer will engage in technical presales engineering support for Enterprise Systems opportunities. Will interface and align with the potential customers and internal Olympus stakeholders including but not limited to Sales Installation Engineering and Integration Services. The Senior Integration Sales Engineer will support sales project management and customers during pre-sales activities through hand-off to the Implementation Team. This role has nationwide responsibility.

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of our IT Enterprise Solutions and can communicate those to the customers IT department and the Territory Manager.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive technical command of all of all solutions within the SI portfolio. 
  • Takes responsibility to insure the technical reliability of all on-site Demo equipment and for any site visit equipment being shown. 
  • Communicates directly with the Territory Manager and has a clear understanding what the technical objectives are for the Demo and/or site visit.
  • Provides advanced technical sales consulting in pre-sale situations to customers and Territory Manager.
  • Can articulate our unique capabilities of our product solutions and can lead a discussion with both the customer and Territory Manager that details these advantages.
  • Works with the TM closely to insure that the solutions being proposed meet the customer's needs and is a solutions that Olympus can deliver.
  • Assists in the training of any new hire in the respective territory.
  • Acts as a pre-sales project manager in gathering needs and requirements for the customer and ensures a clean hand off post PO to our project management team.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Advanced understanding of video integration technology with demonstrated experience in medical or commercial audio/video installations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in field sales or field sales support within the Medical Technology or Information Technology industries.
  • Understanding of networking video over IP security and IT environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, communicate solutions effectively to co-workers and customers, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including group presentations and use of Microsoft PowerPoint, with strong presentation, objection-handling, planning, and implementation abilities.
  • Valid driver's License required.
  • Ability to travel (>60%), including overnight and short-notice travel.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience in medical instrumentation and video imaging preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of electronics, personal computer hardware and audio/video equipment preferred.
  • Advanced experience with hospital IT departments, networking/connectivity, and EMR/PACS systems.

The anticipated base salary for this full-time position working at this location is  110,000.00  / year, plus potential for variable compensation governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
