Job Description

This role plays a pivotal role in driving clinical adoption and supporting the sale and marketing of Olympus EndoTherapy products. The incumbant will represent Olympus in hospital GI labs and Ambulatory Surgery Centers, showcasing how our innovative device portfolio can improve lives by enhancing health, safety, and overall well-being. This position demands national travel, weekend work, and flexibility to meet the dynamic needs of healthcare professionals across the gastrointestinal and digestive disease community.

 

The Clinical EndoTherapy Specialist (CES) acts as a clinical product expert within their assigned Olympus EndoTherapy sales region, collaborating with healthcare providers to deliver superior clinical outcomes. This role requires autonomy, adaptability, and the ability to travel extensively while working closely with team members to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

Job Duties

  • Customer Conversion & Implementation Support:
    • Lead hospital conversions by ensuring clinical efficiencies with EndoTherapy products.
    • Drive customer engagement through in-services, case support, and hands-on presence during conversions and evaluations.
    • Adhere to all vendor credentialing requirements for medical facility access.
    • Clinical Adoption of EndoTherapy Products:
    • Conduct training, demonstrations, and in-servicing to increase adoption among physicians, nurses, and technicians.
    • Support trials, evaluations, and new hospital installations in collaboration with CES team members, EndoTherapy Territory Managers (ETMs), and Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs).
  • Relationship Building:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, nurses, technicians, and other personnel at key accounts.
  • Workshops, Tradeshows & Conventions:
    • Provide clinical support during endoscopy workshops for medical personnel and participate in tradeshows to deliver hands-on training and education.
  • Clinical Expertise Development:
    • Maintain and enhance clinical expertise to promote improved patient outcomes.
    • Share insights and best practices to elevate team performance and enhance patient outcomes with Olympus EndoTherapy Devices.
  • Information Management:
    • Use Salesforce to document activities and manage contacts effectively.
    • Provide valuable feedback to marketing and sales management.
  • Travel & Flexibility:
    • National and regional travel is required, including weekends, to manage hospital conversions, installations, and attend key meetings and events.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Update Salesforce daily and submit expense reports weekly.
    • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related clinical field, such as nursing, or equivalent experience is required. GI Technician Certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in GI Suite, including ERCP/advanced procedures. Minimum of 3 years of sales support experience preferred.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills.
  • Highly developed GI disease clinical acumen.
  • Excellent formal presentation skills.
  • Ability to mentor and develop others.
  • Strong collaboration, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate (must demonstrate a basic working knowledge of Outlook and TEAMS).
  • Willingness to work weekends and travel extensively.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to hospital conversions and installations.
  • Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Employees must adhere to all customer vendor credentialing requirements when visiting medical facilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required, including weekends.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position is $104,038.00 - $145,653.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). This pay range represents the National Average of the range, and may vary depending on the location of the individual. 

 

Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position, including level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
