Job Description

Develop and execute short and long term sales and marketing strategies to deliver the revenue and profit results in accordance with the overall business plan for the designated area within the Medical Systems Group. Delegate authority and responsibilities effectively to team of Sales and Marketing to develop implement and maintain strategies to achieve business goals for the dedicated area. Exercise proper guidance and controls to operating plan to optimize revenue and profit. Foster and promote effective customer relations across the healthcare spectrum. Provide leadership to motivate employees at all levels in order to achieve business goals and fulfill OCA Respiratory and MSG's mission statement.

Job Duties

  • Creates long and short-term strategies and commercial business plans (Sales and Marketing) for dedicated business area.
  • Accountable for development and execution of plans and teams to penetrate new markets increase market share and standings.
  • Held accountable for delivering the revenue and profit results in accordance with the overall business plan objectives of designated business area within the Medical Systems Group.
  • Measures and analyzes revenue, cost, and profit data to improve business and also to protect the interest of Olympus stakeholders.
  • Establishes business budgets and maintains budgetary control throughout assigned business functions.
  • Mentors guides and coaches direct reports in order to expand their capabilities and build management depth in the organization.
  • Oversees the successful implementation of the performance management program within the Group in order to link individual performance to organizational goals.
  • Develops appropriate succession plans for key roles within the department.
  • Ensures the availability of resources and information necessary to support and operate the business plan.
  • Develops and maintains effective customer relationships with healthcare professionals in order to maintain and strengthen core business relationships and promote market growth.
  • Identifies actual or potential issues related to business growth and leads team members to develop suitable action plans to resolve such issues.
  • Provides adequate guidelines to team members for organizing workshops training seminars and trade shows to demonstrate the application and use of products to potential customers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • BA/BS, preferably in Physical Sciences, Business, Computer Science, or Engineering. 
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in senior management levels in FDA regulated health care or medical device industries.
  • Extensive experience in managing sales revenue plans and operating expense plans as a key business leader.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic and commercial business plans.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, which may include international travel at times.

 

Preferred:

  • MBA preferred.
  • Experience in Consumable Medical Products.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position is $182,886.00 - $292,617.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). This pay range represents the National Average of the range, and may vary depending on the location of the individual. 

 

Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position, including level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
