Job Description

The Technical Customer Support Service Representative provides high-level technical and customer support and troubleshooting assistance on sophisticated scientific microscopy instruments over the phone, internet, and email.

Job Duties

 

*  Responsible for both inbound and outbound technical support inquiries.

 

*  Assist customers who require technical information, troubleshooting support and sales support for all biological and industrial microscope systems.

 

*  All communications require timely, accurate and courteous responses.

 

*  Responsible for creating and processing technical support cases including technical research.

 

*  Act as liaison between customers and other technical/sales support departments to improve the overall customer experience with EVIDENT.
 

Job Requirements

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

*  Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or a technical discipline is required.

 

*  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must exhibit superb telephone skills, a clear speaking voice and patience.

 

*  Requires an ability to visualize problems and assist customer remotely.

 

*  Must reliably follow through on tasks and commitments to customers.

 

*  Must possess the ability to quickly learn and adapt to various Windows-based programs.

 

*  Continuous improvements in the areas of product knowledge and support are required.

 

*  Must have logical troubleshooting abilities.

 

*  Must be able to function well in a group and as an individual contributor in a remote/home environment.

 

*  Must possess a willingness and capacity to learn a vast array of microscope products, microscopy applications and support procedures.

 

*  Must be willing to conduct additional assigned tasks.

 

*  High degree of computer and software proficiency.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

*  Prior experience in technical customer support is a plus.
