Job Description

The Senior Product Manager, Specialty Scopes, is responsible for managing and marketing a portfolio of specialty endoscopes. Responsible for all aspects of the product lifecycle including: upstream input to new product development, new product launch, and managing the post launch business. As part of the marketing team the Senior Product Manager will lead the development of annual strategic marketing and business plans, develop and execute marketing and sales programs to achieve revenue and income targets, and execute post-market initiatives. The Senior Product Manager will  interface with customers, sales representatives and in-house stakeholders in support of the business.

Job Duties

* Leads the development of long and short-term marketing strategies and plans to increase revenue, maximize profit, and grow market share. Leads the development of annual and long-term corporate strategic plans.


* Lead organizational launch of next generation specialty endoscopes including design of commercial plan, forecasting, value proposition, positioning statement, key sales messages, and sales rep talk track for next platform launch. Create sales collateral including product brochures, technical reports, advertising, digital campaign, videos, case reports, clinical papers, sales training materials, etc.


* Partner with clinical team and act as business representative for post-market surveillance studies including market awareness and education on health economics topics.


* Design and develop customer and sales incentives/programs to drive adoption of new technology for both cash and lease customers.
 

* Drive awareness and response to competitive efforts and threats in the market and proactively communicate clear direction to the field on how to counter.


* Monitor product performance and customer feedback through field visits and cadence calls, evaluate product positioning and messaging for revisions and updates, share best-selling practices with sales organization.


* Manage key HCP (healthcare professional) relationships, in compliance with Olympus code of ethics and compliance guidelines. Act as the product and procedure expert to drive account conversions, understand trends and obtain product feedback.


* Partner with Sales Training to organize and lead training sessions to ensure the field sales organization is fully trained.


* Collaborate with cross functional team to manage the portfolio life cycle.


* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field with at least 6 years combined relevant experience in sales and/or marketing in a medical products field. 

 

* Other Considerations (travel/hours availability, etc.): Must be willing to travel (domestic and international) as required (generally 20-30%). Work flexible hours as required.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Proven track record of managing complex projects to successful completion and implementing marketing strategies in the medical industry.
 

* Experience in developing and managing physician / surgeon HCPs.
 

* Experience in launch of new technologies and procedures.
 

* Experience in interacting with a diverse cross functional team.
 

* Project Management experience preferred.

 

* Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills at all levels.
 

* Proficient in powerpoint and excel.
 

* Organizational, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills. 

 

* Ability to interact with field personnel, management, and customers.
 

* Individual must possess a high degree of self-reliance, initiative and creativity.
 

* Ability to interpret trends and data, translating the information into actions and improvements.
