Job Description

The Senior Sales Compensation Analyst provides research modeling analysis documentation and reporting related to sales compensation plans and programs. The objective of this position is to improve sales compensation effectiveness by performing and communicating detailed and thorough analysis of the sales compensation plans and programs. This position will also be required to make recommendations to the leadership team with regard to ways to simplify and enhance all sales compensation plans. This position will act as a direct business partner with VP level executives in all sales compensation matters (quotas alignments compensation plans bonuses etc.).

Job Duties

  • Create a vision on the future of sales compensation and a logical plan for achieving that vision.
  • Design and develop financial models and analysis to evaluate proposed sales compensation plan designs in-year plan changes and special programs.
  • Regularly provide analysis to assess effectiveness and quality of sales compensation plans and programs.
  • Create and distribute weekly/monthly/quarterly analytics and reporting to ensure that all aspects of the sales compensation plan are understood throughout the leadership team.
  • Makes recommendations to improve sales compensation effectiveness based on analytical assessment of plan performance.
  • Assemble a project plan for the sales compensation update process.
  • Lead and direct resources from across the broad organization (Finance Sales Data Marketing etc.) to ensure the annual sales compensation project plan is on-time and on budget.
  • Design compensation plans for new sales organizations (Inside Sales etc.).
  • Design consistent and repeatable quota process to ensure accurate and equitable quotas throughout all sales compensation plans.
  • Implement process for robust sales compensation training and allow for direct feedback from the field based sales force (travel required).
  • Researches compensation issues and disputes and provides analysis to facilitate resolution.
  • Researches best practices internally and externally and applies key findings to achieve position objective.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or related field; MBA a plus.
  • A minimum of 4 years financial analysis/modelling/reporting experience is required.
  • Ability to travel domestically if projects require.

 

Preferred:

  • Sales Compensation experience is preferred.
  • Medical Equipment industry experience preferred.
  • Strong Excel modeling skills including simulation graphing, VBA statistics.
  • MS Access experience including developing databases and queries.
  • Must be comfortable working and pushing back on VP level executives on a regular basis.
  • Showcase, JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, Siebel experience a plus.
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Functional knowledge of statistics as applied in a business environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, results-driven, committed to quality and accuracy.
