Job Description

The Senior Commercialization Manager Americas of our Global Infection Prevention Business Unit will be expected to drive business growth with a specific focus to the North and South American markets, and deliver independent execution of all deliverables within their scope of responsibility. This individual will work collaboratively with peers across the globe within Olympus to align global commercial strategies to regional execution plans and create and execute global commercial strategies & product launch materials that include a global launch package, product value proposition development, training plans, sales collateral, and messaging to drive awareness.  As a Senior Commercialization Manager, this role will be providing clear direction to the team and all downstream regional partners on all business deliverable/requirements and design control requirements under their scope of responsibility. They will collaborate to develop an intimate knowledge of customer needs and market landscapes in both existing and emerging markets.  This role delivers independent execution of all deliverables within their scope of responsibility, is detail-oriented and self-motivated, with excellent analytic, facilitation, and communication skills (both oral and written). This Senior Commercialization Manager will report into the Global Head of Commercialization, Infection Prevention Business Unit. 

Job Duties

  • Independently lead business case-driven commercial strategies and sales tactics to support growth of new product launches, geographic expansion and optimization of launched products. Act as window person between global Business Unit and regional marketing teams in the American markets. 
  • Independently lead (sub-)projects with high senior management and business visibility in the company composed of members with different positions and backgrounds. 
  • Independently develop, lead and execute go-to-market strategies including business model, product and/or services bundling, payment options, contract terms and conditions; lead detailing and regional implementation.  Develop comprehensive digital plans for awareness and lead generation campaigns (search, advertising, email, social media, landing pages, etc.) with measurable objectives. Develop and design messaging and objectives, while providing guidance for global campaigns (e.g., demos, web, e-mail, etc.) to regional counterparts for consistency. 
  • Collaborate with the global Marketing Communication team and regional teams to (re)shape and enhance the value proposition of existing and new products; develop customer segments and personas accordingly.  Develop market research- and analytics-driven pricing strategies. 
  • Independently develop and execute global launch strategies in collaboration with regional sales and marketing teams (e.g. Global Launch Playbook, pitch packs, tools, and campaign collateral, forecasts, trainings, etc.). Collaborate to develop and execute global launch strategy for the Infection Prevention Business Unit with Region input and collaboration (e.g., type of events, potential channels, etc.). Establish global KPIs to track product launch and execution, develop mitigation plans as needed to keep all targets on track/time. 
  • Support creation of commercial response materials and strategies to address rising competitive threats and changing market trends. Partner with New Product Development counterpart to develop technical & commercial content for all global marketing materials. 
  • Maintain responsibility for informing internal cross-functional teams, as well as regional partners at all levels on business deliverable/requirements under his/her scope of responsibility for global commercialization. 
  • Maintain responsibility and drive alignment of commercialization plans, budgets, timelines, risk assessment, progress and risk mitigation proposals, as necessary.  
  • Budget planning, monitoring and ownership to related projects and markets 

Job Qualifications

Required:

 

  • Completed studies, minimum bachelor's degree. Master’s degree preferred 
  • 10-15 years of experience in business development and/or commercial roles in medical technology (infection prevention experience would be ideal)
  • Consulting experience advantageous. 
  • Medical devices and infection prevention experience beneficial. 
  • Experience in successfully developing and launching new products in the medical device industry from concept to commercialization advantageous. 
  • Experienced in designing and executing voice of customer research.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Excellent communication skills and command of English, both written and spoken. 
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams is a plus. 
  • Self-motivated individual with track record of establishing and executing on goals. 
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure. 
  • Analytical skills.  
  • Other Considerations (travel/hours availability, etc.): 
  • 25% domestic travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $114,213.00 - $159,898.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
