Job Description

Works under minimal guidance to perform financial analysis and supporting the budgeting and forecasting of Corporate and Shared Service Operating Expenses. The role will perform expense related activities for the month end close budgeting and forecasting processes in order to manage and control spend. The position requires complete understanding of functional principles and standards to analyze and interpret financial data in order to build and communicate critical decision- driving reports for senior leadership.

Job Duties

* Manage the annual Budget and quarterly forecasts related to operating expenses. This includes preparing/updating reports making operating expense changes in the financial system expense variance analysis and intelligently challenging financial projections provided by department leaders.

 

* Analyze departmental operating expense results and variances in order to ensure accuracy as well as identify any emerging trends.

 

* Be the financial eyes and ears for Corporate and Shared Service Department leaders in controlling.

 

* Review and provide standard set of reports to Finance Managers and department leaders.

 

* Prepare Journal Entries and Reports for the monthly close process.

 

* Work closely with the financial systems group to develop and implement system-based approaches for financial planning and analysis.

 

* Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.

 

* Minimum of 5 to 9 years of accounting/finance or equivalent experience is preferred.

 

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have strong PC Skills(Excel PowerPoint Word).

 

* Hyperion and SAP experience a plus but not required.

 

* Strong Written and Verbal Communication.

 

* Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize job duties in an organized and efficient manner.

 

* Must have the ability to think critically produce high quality work and adapt well to organizational changes.
