Job Description

The Sr. Director, Sales & Marketing, Advanced EndoTherapy Technologies will lead the commercialization and scaling of a novel portfolio of advanced endoscopic robotic and endoluminal resection technologies. This role has full responsibility for downstream execution, including market development, product marketing, training enablement, and commercial integration, while serving as a key cross-functional leader across Clinical Education, Sales, Professional Education, Health Economics & Reimbursement (HE&R), Business Development, and Upstream Marketing & Strategy.

 

This leader will build and manage a high-performance team of field-based AET Territory Managers and a Product Marketing Manager, drive adoption through lighthouse accounts, establish clinical and economic credibility, and lead integration of acquired technologies into an existing disposable-driven GI commercial organization.

 

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong clinical acumen, commercial judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity during early-stage platform scaling.

Job Duties

Commercial & Market Leadership: 

  • Own downstream commercialization strategy for Advanced EndoTherapy Technologies, including Market segmentation and targeting, launch sequencing and adoption strategy, capital equipment and disposable go-to-market models.
  • Lead phased commercialization from controlled launch through scaled market adoption.
  • Establish and manage lighthouse/reference centers and key physician relationships.
  • Drive predictable adoption, utilization, and long-term disposable pull-through

 

People Leadership & Organizational Build

  • Lead, develop, and scale a team of Field-based AET Territory Managers and a Product Marketing Manager
  • Establish clear roles, KPIs, and development plans aligned to clinical-driven commercialization
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to ensure role clarity and seamless execution
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and clinical excellence

 

Product Marketing & Launch Execution:

  • Lead downstream product marketing, including: Value proposition and messaging, launch planning and execution, sales tools, training content, and field enablement
  • Partner with Upstream Marketing & Strategy to translate VOC, clinical insights, and market trends into future product and portfolio strategy
  • Ensure alignment between clinical outcomes, economic value messaging, and sales execution

 

Training, Professional Education & Clinical Enablement

  • Collaborate closely with the Clinical Education Specialist organization to define training strategy and certification pathways, and ensure standardized, safe, and scalable training programs
  • Partner with Professional Education to develop and execute hands-on training courses, workshops, and symposia, build faculty networks and key opinion leader engagement
  • Ensure training is positioned as a competitive differentiator and adoption enabler

 

Health Economics, Reimbursement & Evidence Generation

  • Work cross-functionally with HE&R to support reimbursement strategies leveraging existing and emerging coding pathways, and develop hospital-facing economic value dossiers and ROI tools
  • Partner with Clinical Affairs to design and execute clinical studies, registries, and real-world evidence generation and support abstracts, publications, and scientific communications
  • Translate clinical and economic evidence into compelling commercial narratives

 

M&A Integration & Portfolio Expansion

  • Lead downstream integration of acquired technologies into existing commercial infrastructure
  • Partner with Business Development on diligence support from a commercialization and integration perspective and post-acquisition launch and integration planning
  • Ensure seamless alignment with broader GI disposable and capital portfolios

 

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as a connective leader across Sales, Marketing, Clinical Education, Professional Education, HE&R, Business Development, Upstream Marketing & Strategy, and act as a key voice in enterprise decision-making related to advanced endoscopy strategy

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of medical device industry experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial people management experience in a medical device environment.
  • Proven experience in downstream and upstream commercial execution.
  • Demonstrated success in end-to-end medical device commercialization.
  • Experience with M&A integration or post-acquisition commercialization.
  • Experience launching capital equipment and disposable products.
  • Strong understanding of physician adoption dynamics and hospital decision-making.
  • Experience in GI, endoscopy, endoluminal surgery, or robotics.
  • Experience commercializing platform technologies requiring training and workflow change.

 

Preferred:

  • Medical device sales experience (direct or leadership).
  • Direct experience supporting or leading clinical study execution.
  • Working knowledge of reimbursement pathways and health economics.
  • Existing GI / Endoscopy Key Opinion Leader network & relationships.
  • Background working with academic medical centers and IDNs.
